The car scene is from Karate Kid 2(1986) which is why Lee & Adorkable thought it was familiar and Director doesn't know it. There is a Karate Kid 3(1989) movie. But it sounds like nobody has seen it it'll be interesting when those references start showing up.

I just can't take the serious parts seriously. I literally see this group of "bullies" and even without meaning to I start thinking about the roasts. Back in the day you had good bullies just like karate kid. You didn't have to have every spectrum of color and lame weirdos to be intimidating as a bully.
