Will playing Witcher hurt my Reactions? I'm looking for some games to play, my gamer tag is Yaboyrocklee and my steam is YaboyrockleeTTV, I'll link up but i like my space...i'm Jamaican.  I don't even hang out with Adorkable and Director much when they dip lol.

Not really , but will you stream it or on your own

Mikal Adkins

If anything it'll give you more information on certain characters as well as background lore. I recommend playing the Witcher 2 then the Witcher 3 though.

not really committing, sometimes i wanna game and folks are sleeping or something, so i dunno, streaming sometimes turns fun or a hobby into work...it's a different vibe fam. What if i wanna be quiet for 10 minutes lol..no pressure

I haven’t seen or played Witcher so I’m not sure. But oh nice I didn’t know you played Xbox. It seems most people are pc gamers nowadays lmaoo

Witcher 3 is a great game, but it might take a while for you to actually enjoy it, because it's so dialogue heavy and story driven. Gameplay is definitely not that fun imo, everything else is great doe.

Narutofreak94

Yeah you'd just get more lore and info

For sure Witcher 3 is one of the best games I’ve ever played. I definitely recommended to you when you finished the show too. Works great on the Xbox, and Witcher 3 starts with Yennefer 😂

Andre

Playing Witcher won’t hurt your reactions either as the game story is original - the show is following books and doing its own thing too I’ve heard.

Thamor

Just play how you want, as the witcher games are one of those games that everyone should play.

FireMn911

You don’t have a PS4? I’d watch you play FFVII Remake if you did. You don’t even have to play on a regular schedule. Gaming should be done when you feel like it.

The withcer 3 is one of the greatest games of all time. PLAY THAT SHIT

If you like open world games, play it. If you don't like open world games, think hard before you pick it up. It's single player, so there's no worry about running into randos online that will ruin your game. The story is pretty good. This is my take as a game dev. Worth playing but you also have to know that it's open world, which may bring fatigue half way through.

I think some games played would be great. I think you would enjoy some of the anime style games like the persona series (persona 4 golden is on steam) and genshin impact for the waifus. If you have a switch, fire emblem 3 houses or dragon quest 11 are great too with a anime feel to them.

Might as well just for how much it adds on to what you learned in the first 2 seasons

Yaboyrocklee

I like open world. I prefer to make my own character. I like playing with a baddie

The games would be a good chunk of time ahead of the show, and seem like there own story from what they've done so far in the show. Major events in the games, or at least the 3rd game, might be the same but the ride to those events are going to be drastically different. Probably cause the show follows the books more and then adapts the script for "TV". Witcher 3 is a hefty amount of time, but they're great games.

Sonicluis

Don’t play the Witcher games but you should definitely stream games from time to time.

The story won't hurt your reactions. The gameplay itself will actually help you understand subtle things that aren't really explained when they first happen(magic abilities, black eyes, etc.) so I don't see why not :) I didn't like the game at first I thought the gameplay felt off, but after a few hours of getting out of the starting area I fell in love pretty quickly

Skebaba

This. Even the first Witcher game is set AFTER the OG story is concluded in the books, Witcher 3 even more so, as you can clearly see Geralt has finally started to become older when compared to Witcher 1 even

Phuizour

Just added you on Steam. Name is Phuizour

No it (probably) wouldn't hurt reactions. Books have canonical end, and games take place years after it. Aslo Netflix is going into fanfiction so heavy I could even say reading books series is "adapting" wouldn't spoil anything xD Ps. Games are "connected" in the way you can (and should) import choices from one game and it slightly change another, and even wihout that feature Witcher 3 is MUCH better when you played Witcher 2 before. Witcher 2 is old at this point, but hey...if you are ok with CGI monstrocity like arifureta, I can bet you wouldn't even notice slightly outdated graphic of Witcher 2 xD. Witcher 1 is REALLY good story, but gameplay was wierd when it came out, today it is borderlane unplayable, so you can skip it. Concluding everything in one sentence. Play it! Witcher 2 ----> Witcher 3. You can stream it if you want it would make fun content, but if you want to play on yout own its ok too

Rocklee I’d recommend Mass Effect series if you have time. It’s an amazing trilogy and the story is amazing. Feel free to msg me if you need any game recommendations. I know your busy with reactions so just let me know if you need extra game recommendations.

Witcher 2 and 3 are great! Witcher 3 has a lot of side quests and side grinding that you can play off stream as well if you wanted to do a little of both. I agree with whoever recommended mass effect as well!
