Yeah it was weird that shea would say I love you to hajime just like that but it kinda makes a little more sense with that flashback of little shea and her mother. She's been waiting for someone who has the same powers with her all this time and she finally met him. And she ain't holding nothing back.

The anime is decent, practically the only reason this anime is nice to see is the main character and an interesting story. But let's be serious, you can't say that this anime is worth watching before: Overlord, Slime, Black Clover, Shield Hero, etc. Basically the only reason we see this anime now is that it gets a season 2 and right now there are very few new anime that are worth reacting to.

Only one I would add to that list is "Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash". Art stytle is different to a typical anime, but it's fucking amazing.

I feel like it makes sense that she fell in love with him on sight. Her mother pretty much set her up to believe that when she meets someone else who has monster powers that they are meant to be together. So I feel it makes sense. Plus she's felt alone her whole like so she's desperate for companionship.

Dope reaction Yall. Just as A heads up. The person that was smiling in the beginning was the same classmate that betrayed Hajime. At first glance it looks like a beard, but after checking out the scene again it was actually the fur on his coat, not a beard. This episode made me drop the series, not because it was bad but because they cut an entire arc that was just one of my favorites in the novel. Really, as an adaptation I give it a 3 or maximum 4 out of 10 so if you liked the series I recommend you read the novel if you have time. Even so, I consider it decent, only that the novel is too good XD

Yeah they cut out so much shit but you shouldn't drop it over that. At least set that aside and try to enjoy what the anime gives you. I know it screws over the source material but its still good to see it in animated form for what they at least do put into it.

First thing I thought of when I saw her was Bulma from the OG dragonball when she was in her bunny suit. Blue hair and bunny ears and sort of thiccc. This one def thicccer than bulma but it still reminded me immediately of her. I also think about bunny girl senpai but she doesn't have blue hair.

12:45 The person that was smiling when spell hit Hajime was the classmate who was nervous. There was no beard, it was fur of his(classmate) coat. At quick glance it really looks like beard.

I will say this about sheas character is they skipped a lil confrontation that talked about shea as a threat to the beastmen cuz of her power and hajime had to intervene on her behalf cuz he needed rabbitmen too guide him through the fog in the sea of trees after the beastmen banished them into the fog again so hajime trained them into crazy blood thirsty fighters and before the whole thing bunny men we’re getting enslaved that’s why shea was desperate for help using her body on hajime and then she ended up falling for and confessing to hajime and even both of them acted surprised cuz hajime was being mean to her so he couldn’t understand why she had feelings and neither could shea she was a little annoyed by hajime for turning her family crazy for a bit and treating her badly but she had to admit she found things she could relate too with hajime when he told her his story and saved her people from being enslaved and banished so ya big context for sheas character development, also I’m a little annoyed cuz he was supposed to get his first human kill when he ran into knights from a different kingdom enslaving and taking rabbitmen and then they made hajime his enemy when they talked about taking the rabbitmen off him and wanting to rape yue in front of him then hajime slaughtered them all and looked frightening to the rabbit men while killing the knights but I guess the anime wanted to make it so his first kill isn’t that easy for him or randomly outta nowhere but idk it depends still like the anime tho

im fine with the anime right up until this episode. i HATE the bunny girl. i cant get by this episode and so drop this series every time.

I read a lot of LNs and to comment on your discussion in the beginning. I believe most readers imagine the potential of the LNs they read. When we see a show cutting out important points of the story/world building or fights, thats what gets to us. I personally understand that adaptations from books dont work 1 to 1. However there are certain elements that are just lazy in my opinion. Things like how she sucked his blood. You were confused over which time span she sucked his blood. It would have been easy to make an on screen reference on how much time was skiped, without adding animation time or prolong an episode. Just write "a few hours later" or "the next day". Because of stuff like that we feel like the adaptation wasnt done right. It doesnt have to be the best, but if you leave out important points of the story that could add a lot more depth to an anime only watcher. That just hurts. We only want people to enjoy the things we read(because we wanna talk about it and let you experience what we experienced) and most of the time you dont get what we read but just a water down version of it. For example mushoku tensei was very well adapted. It cut out a lot of LN material, but nothing important that would leave out important parts. And most readers love the adaption even tho a lot of stuff was cut

I'm currently watching these reactions again. I'm halfway through volume 3 at the moment, and I'm really enjoying the anime much more with the extra context. Cut content unfortunately will make me feel detached. From season 1 to season 2 I was so lost that I dropped the anime temporarily to go and read the light novels.
