I’d strictly be talking anime. Since I don’t read lol. I do like overlord more as well as slime despite which writing I think is “better”. I think Mushoku does great character developing. That’s pretty much it. Overlord makes more badd assness though lol

yeah i was about to say 15 volumes of world building honestly if the anime didnt cram 3 volumes per season this would be different story imagine character development + badassness but i get it the anime only has the budget to do what they do especially studio madhouse they even cut the budget on badassness that they show in the anime like ainz vs shalltear fight was way more stuff happening other world items where used

thats fine peacefinder simply already explained why thats perfectly fine, i mean the highest grossing isekai is Re:Zero and i honestly didnt get past the 1st episode... i hear its great but it just wasnt my vibe. the first isekai i watched was inuyasha but i was in elementary school and it played on american tv and idk the characters where lowkey easy to draw similar to why the first anime i watched was dbz/ onepiece/naruto/bleach

2021-12-22 16:53:58 You know i think there is a theme running through the show. getting too comfortable, kills growth. paul sent rudy away because he was becoming too dependant on sylphie and stopping his growth. eris left rudy, who was once again becomeing too comfortable, and forcing rudy to once again grow. in rudy's past life, he became too comfortable and stopped maturing for 20+ years. maturity is like building a muscle. without resistance, you stop growing. get weaker. P.s. i think director nasty nailed it with the mother thing. in his last life rudy was selfish and stopped moving forward because he was comforable just living alone. in this life, he started to move forward again, not for himself, but for zenith. thats a BIG step forward to becoming a better person imo

Same Re:Zero is my #1 in clear lead compared to all other Isekai shows. I just love the mystery aspect + having MC that really is just normal human in a really strong magic and supernatural powers.

its literally everyones #1 around me. and i get it. they're known as the staple isekai, could just be the popularity idk i was like this aint for me. (👀)^, matter of fact its 100% just because it was popular. you know how fast i latched on to black clover simply because it wasn't popular when they started and the anime was subtle change stuff in the beginning the fans weren't having it matter of fact everything the anime choices to do independently got slaughtered and so did the ratings (im talkin per episode) so they literally had to partner with the writer of the manga to make decisions and i was just along for the ride and the wrecks lmfao

I respect the Rezero part. As an anime, personally i found it harder to keep up with thus, i missed out on understanding a lot lol. Mushoku Tensei was juuuuust simple enough for me follow along as an anime. Sometimes no words in Muschoku Tesnei. Just scenery letting the viewer process. Like a Kdrama Side note. Shows I watch now, are a different experience because i talk significantly less. More balanced commentary. Not perfect but better lol

I know this is old but it was the exact opposite. After Eris saw Rudy almost die and she could do nothing, she realized she was relying on him too much. She left to get to his level after seeing him stand up to Orstead. Also missed a hint in the anime why Orstead companion stepped in for Rudy.
