Anime only here, but I theorized when first watching this that Orsted either is a time traveler himself (as other commenters theorized) or he has a blessing/curse that allows him the ability to see all of past, present, and future history to a limited extent, like he can see the past and futures of those in front of him. Maybe he couldn't "see" Rudy as Paul's son because Rudy is not from this world, or maybe it's the Apostle thing, he can't see the Man-god's apostle and the Man-god(Divine being) can't see Dragon god Orsted (God rank, not a divine being) because Orsted talks to the actual divine Dragon-god in his sleep, making him the Dragon-god's apostle. Or maybe Orsted IS the divine Dragon-God just walking around the world for some reason

it wasnt really no difference. it looked like rudy actually managed to damage orson with that first spell, something a fire dragon failed to do in the first season as well as rujerd and also almost broke through that portal thing with his second spell.

The fire spell Rudy used second wasn’t a combination of a bunch of elements but was more of a highly compressed flame that reached extremely high temperatures like how it changed colors as it grew hotter

I don't think Rudeus is Hitogami's apostle. Apostles are followers of some Gods. Rudeus just talks with Man-God and that's all. he doesn't spread Hitogami's words or some other shit. *Also, if you don't remember, we already saw Dragon God Orsted in the first half of the season, right before mana disaster happened.

Idk why nasty always blames the man-god. It’s not his fault Rudues is dumb ash. He’s a grown as man in a kids body and he still acts mental. That’s not the man-god fault. He literally help him find most of his family. Rudeus was the one who got himself capture. Rudues was the one who didn’t shut up and kept moving. He literally saw the ox Kill itself because of fear. And he thought it was sweet. Worst thing he became a pussy when it was time to fight. Eris had to try to come save him. Love the show. But the main character sometimes be having me heated of have trash he is. Almost got the squad kill.

Maybe I missed the part where they discuss that Rudy is an Apostle or not. Because in some moments in their discussion they mentioned Rudeus as an Apostle, and I still think that they believe that he is. I apologize if I was rude.

Btw when Rudy used that wind on himself you heard him breathe in before he shot wind into his lungs since they were crushed, and I saw you guys caught him lifting himself with the stone he made to cast another spell and help breathe even just a little better

Fine let's go by facts. Won't spoil anything but the fact regarding Rudi and his "results" isn't going to age well. That day we can return to the Paul Rudi argument. I don't mind going by facts but the way it is portrayed like it is downplaying Paul's efforts and struggles. Basically dismissing him entirely. He saved a bunch of people from the mana calamity. You see that bikini looking girl and the shy girl with him? He saved those two and it was shown in the anime. These are facts. It's all good Rudi found his family before him but don't dismiss the guy lol. Might not be the intention but it seems like that so I'm just pointing it out.

Orsted gives me time travel vibes. His weird knowledge of random ppl he don't know, up to entire clans of ppl, and him using words like "yet" etc, gives me mad Subaru vibes cuz of Return by Death. Thus since Rudy isn't from this world, assuming he can time travel, he wouldn't know of him since he's from some other world where we live in, yea?

Not a spoiler you fucking retard, it's implied but never stated (given that Paul was close enough to Azura to use a horse to rush there w/ Norn along him, then it shows he found that Fittoa region is deleto, and then he goes to Millis Continent specifically because Paul said that it's where Zenith is from originally, so he was prolly going to ask Zenith's family to aid him in finding her or w/e. Also since Man-God literally told Aisha & Lilia are in Shirone, it's not a spoiler either; and since Paul hasn't found Zenith yet, she's either on the Heaven Continent or the Begaritt Continent, literally the only 2 continents they haven't checked yet, but Geese was heading to Begaritt, so he'll presumably notify if he does find her). Learn to use those 2 brain cells of yours before REEEEing about shit that ISN'T spoilers at this point in the anime

For the first time, I would like to say that the anime did an extraordinary job with the animation. They could explain why Rudeus behaved the way he did, in the light novel it is very detailed how he thinks at that moment, but it's ok, the anime is great. When Rudeus made that fireball attack he thought of a nuclear explosion, they could put a 2-second flashback on that attack, but that's okay.

Sure. Results are what matters. That's why wrong people are in positions of power because results are what matters to them and as long as they do whatever it takes Machiavelli style to achieve that everything is fine. I'm just saying that by this logic we are okaying the above statement and everything associated with it. Basically as long as the end justify the means everything in between doesn't matter. What I'm saying is that that's how the argument is sounding like because of the whole emphasis on results. I mean it's practical sure but is that viewpoint really right? I'm not sure. I'm just speaking out loud so don't take it the wrong way but how I feel you were talking about it is basically downplaying Paul. Because you said Rudi saved 2 of his family members but Paul didn't. I mean if you mentioned that what he did wasn't in vain and was actually helping people in the video that I might not feel what I'm feeling. I also don't think Director wanted to cosign that argument because he said something interesting. With all this stuff that Rudi has going for him, why didn't he do it earlier? And again we can go down a whole rabbit hole but remember who even put Rudi in the position he is to survive. Anyways I'll just drop the subject but yeah it's not going to age well. Not about results but about the whole Paul and Rudi situation. FYI animators wanted to use someone that Rudi or Paul knew as the bartender in the middle of the reunion but in the novels and even the author was adamant it be a 3rd party. Why? To emphasize that there is no side that is right in this situation but ye not everyone will feel the same way

It’s why sometimes you can’t always be blunt with the “truth” it can hurt people. Funny thing despite my argument and Director not cosign that this God isn’t someone noble or good. He’s fishy, my opinion may not age well. But it’s based on the information at hand. I also agree there isn’t a right side but they do have right points from each person’s perspective. I’m not generally a Rudy fan lol. He’s just growing on me and the overall story is brilliantly refreshing.

Understood. I have read the novels and it's not like I want to hate Rudi. He is one of my favourite characters and is the main focus of this show and why I even read it in the first place. But yeah one day you'll understand why Paul is GOAT and is imo the best character in the series. Even at this point he is one of the most well written characters but different mediums have different way of portrayals so I'm fine with the current response. Anyways one day you'll understand my love for Paul and why I always think he was an outlet of the author to inform the reader/viewer to look at it from an Omniscient POV regarding the conflict but it does take some hindsight to fully see that I guess. One of the most flawed man who is willing to do anything for his family. That is some of the qualities that remind me of my own father and is something that I very heavily admire. To toss everything away for the sake of your family. You've recently watched Train to Busan right? Something like that.

It’s one of the few shows I don’t watch for my favorites like i do OP and Young Justice for example. Even Overlord, I barely have favorites. So yea much love to Paul even when I’m being critical for the sake of Argument.

so now that they are talking about curses more, i wonder if roxy is cursed. her mom did say it was her fault she couldnt use telepathy. at first i figured she ment, basically she just grew wrong in her mom, but what if her mom was cursed or had a curse put on roxy while she was carrying. also, it seems that rudy might have a curse on him too. apparantly the orsten guy can see the past and future(??!! im assuming , i dont know), but he couldnt see rudy, just like man god couldnt see orsten.

Notice how Hitogami said: Orsted is HATED and feared by EVERY living creature on THIS planet. Yet he was with a girl. And as Nasty said: that girl was like isnt he one of those niggas? Did you catch the connection yet 😉 oh also Ruijerd did mention Laplace and the thing with the speares when they were at Roxy's parents. (not a spoilet just bonus info) Orsted did apologise to Ruijerd when he hit him and to Eris when he saw that Rudy was important to her. Also regarding to the clinical death conversation you guys had: Eris did not try a fireball spell, but she was spamming healing magic in the LN, so it was provabally a clinical death that he had.
