Most ppl aren’t bought by Nozel’s method of protecting Noelle but I honestly think it’s reasonable. She’s the SPITTING image of their mom and he already had to bear the loss of losing her. Going to the extreme measures to protect her is what he felt was right. Even if it wasn’t the most PERFECT thing to do which makes it realistic.

I don’t think Noelle caught up or surpassed Nozelle. I feel like they put him on his death bed so that she could shine while he’s kinda forced into a support role. Just my 2 cents

This was also just a bad match up for him, but yeah she’s definitely not on captain level yet as future episodes with show. Noelle gained a spell perfect to handle the current situation

I forgot how dense this episode was, we get so much stuff in terms of nozel development, Noelles big moment, but also the additional group fight with zora and his traps. Noelle talking about how free she feels really re-contextualizes how much she’s struggled with her magic previously and how much it must’ve felt like a burden to her

compass v mercury her magic is super effective against metal he couldnt do what he wanted to do noelles not ahead of nozel yet ...... the mom used steel (so klaus needs to pick it up) the dad used water nozel the only one that basically got the blend which is mercury also the only one to get a metal. the mom used to train with meroleona and win the spars, but that was over 16 years ago and meroleona was much younger pretty sure she got a lot stronger sense then.

Dope reaction! probably in my top 5 episodes. Also fun fact: Based on small questionnaire answered by the manga author: Noelle's mother was considered to be on par with Julius. And Mereleona admitted she could never bear her. So yeah she was a pretty powerful magic knight.

What is great about Black Clover is that any question or plot hole or wonder you have will eventually be answered, because this whole story was already created since Chapter 1. There will be questions answered in this arc but then if you still have doubts then trust that it will answer it later.

I avoid spoilers. I’m able to have content for emergencies like covid and quarantine. I’m able to pivot on a new show while having a healthy reserve . Lots of reasons. I already uploaded like 21-25 videos a week. I just dont see a need for more. In it’s simplest form. I can pace my self. One Piece and Black Clover are fan favorites. It’s gonna be different times when they are caught up or gone

Adorkable must be a Sakura fan. Noelle is basically a slightly better Sakura, always simping for a guy. Also when she get a new transformation and looks like she’s catching up to asta and yuna they are even stronger.

Not sure why that would mean she's a "Sakura fan" and when you say a "slightly better version" of Sakura, that's an understatement and kind of downplays Noelle's character. She literally just won the latest WORLD WIDE popularity pole,beating every other character in the series + our protagonist. Noelle is a great character that Tabata himself stated he wrote Noelle as a character, that can stand as her own protagonist by his own admission. Theres plenty of times when she's outperformed Asta and Yuno (I won't get into spoilers) she has her own plot lines, and they don't rely on Asta.

I think Nozel knew about the bullying but let it go on because it was a good way to keep Noelle discouraged and unmotivated when it came to joining the Magic Knights and improving her magic. Being told you're a failure that killed mom would bring anyone down (very extreme!). But he was mistaken to even think she wouldn't become strong considering who their mother is. lol and then he thought he put her in a magic squad that was doing nothing but hunting pigs in the boonies. Surprise, surprise!

Black Clover's pacing is just amazing. Some other franchises would have split all this within 3 episodes: 1 for Nozel's backstory, 1 for Noelle's power up, and 1 for the Noelle, Nozel and Zora's fight with the 6 Elves. It is sooo much narrative development at once, and I absolutely LOVE it!

Ah! of course I also have to mention that Noelle is one of my favourite manga female characters ever... from a nasty little girl talking about insects to an extremely powerful magic knight that can actually keep up with the main characters. Besides, ALL OF HER POWER UPS CAME WHEN SHE FELT THE NEED TO PROTECT SOMEONE ELSE. All of them! She's just a great character!

Director's and Adorkable's opening call to action for Noelle made me feel huped like when I first watched this series! After Nozelle said such harsh things to her at the Magic Knight Exam in Ep 4 or 5, I had been waiting for Noelle to triumph over her family trauma.

To be fair the anime pacing fluctuates. This is a really jam packed and well paced episode, but we’ve had some stinkers that fill the time with flashbacks

If you like sakura as character, I guess they are both female lol. But one has heavy ambitions, don't take shit from anyone she doesn't like and has constant character progression. Whereas the other character spent all her of time chasing a guy who literally told her to her face to leave him the hell alone and only has small spurts of progression until it gets toward the very end of the story. There is a reason why Sasuke-kun! is one of the most cringe lines in anime.
