I'm not sure if they understand this or not but did you clarify to them that the wizard king is a title and that the current wizard king is not the same as the one shown in the beginning preview. the title was establish after the first wizard king defeated the giant demon. since then it has been passed down over the years. additionally this show clearly took inspiration from Naruto, Bleach, one piece, and Hunter X hunter, when it comes story, arcs, motivation, abilities, Appearance, personality, etc.
