It wasn't put in and I am 90% sure it never will but if you recall all the way back to season 1 episode 1 when Rimuru learned jet propulsion, the light novel mentions how the lake water dropped like 10% when he filled some of his stomach. So yes tons of storage room. I think the anime skipped the explanation and just shows that he seems to never run out as a good enough job. Hope this is not a spoiler though if it was/is I know it isn't big/vital to the story.
