Homie look. Director is right on this one about the stands being WAY more complex as JoJo continues. Star Platinum is super basic at the start, but super powerful. Part has mostly simple stands,(not all part 3 stands are basic but most) Simply put is this Avdol - fire Polnareff - pure speed and... a sword Kakyoin - possession/emerald splash. Joseph - info gathering with hermit purple Iggy - sand Jotaro - speed/power/precision and then later time stop. I wont say shit about the characters in this part with their stands (even though youre ahead) But the main crew for part 5 has WAY more complicated stands than the part 3 crew

Stands went from giving you cool super powers to being what they were intended to be. Some weird gypsy curse upon your family that only activates if you accidentally sneeze 3 times during the winter solstice.

So what's interesting is that Buccellati used the move to beat Zucchero that Giorno beat him with. By ripping his own arm off he extended his range to hit him. Even when Giorno is not on the screen he still comes in clutch.
