I'm really trying to figure out the timeline too because IF spider is in the past do you think maybe the dragon egg she found (and tried to eat) in the cave actually was the dragon girl that used to bully her? or just a coincidence that there was a dragon egg there?

(i am an anime only it is all a theory of mine) I think the teacher is lying because spider is leveling to much and is about to do the same she did with hugo or worse, or simply she doesn't want them to know that she is a spider and what she is doing. Also school anime I don't know why but they like to have a cute girl that only mind herself getting bullied in anime.

I do think the timeline is important but not at this moment, because it puts more theories without explaining anything right now, you could also say that the human part is in the past and the teacher thought she was dead because spider didn't get reincarnated yet.

DBZ ruined things for long series, IMHO. There was a fight that you could have started as a freshman in high school, and you would have graduated college before it was completed.

i remember buying each video of the frieza saga and goku would still be saying "aaaalmost there........just a bit moore!" for like 5 episodes.

i think im going to drop this anime. i cant stand the magic school kids and apparently they are key to the story. also the constant txt wall of powerups is annoying me. i literally skipped to the 15 minute mark this episode because it was so boring. this is episode 8 and its not getting any better.

I never readed novel so its not a spoiler. What i think ... They somehow realized that in dungeon live a spider that can speak or smart enough, so they assumed it is Wakaba .. They sended a hero to kill her, but hero killed another spider that can speak, and now teacher, with full confidense, says she is dead. Or maybe im wrong: D

Well the i can recomment the Manga, if you are into reading, while there is also alot of wall of text, you can ignore most of it because it is explained via the story. The Manga focuses on the spider side of the story, maybe you will have more fun this way.

Director was in this episode not reacting to spider at all, I mean being afraid/disgusted on his phobia of spiders =)

Well, also, Fei wanted a chance at redemption. With Wakaba dead, that's kinda hard to do. Also, glad no comment about the red-headed girl being next to Shun on the bench.
