Fun fact: Oda wanted Don Krieg as 1st cyborg in da story. You know, antagonist from Baratie Arc (sanjis restaurant ship). theory is, some editors probably talked him out from the idea, so he postponed it a bit

Treat this arc like a crime/drama story. where the strawhat become the culprit from attempted to assassinate the mayor of the city and the downfall of the strawhat crew. Aokiji (ice marine) did warn them that Robin will be hard to handle and they will regret it. This is exactly what happening right now, even she's the one who pull the trigger on Iceberg. it still doesn't really far-fetch from what we've known her so far. Remember, she's been working in a crime organization of Crocodile and doesn't mind doing assassination.
