YAAAASSSS this opening is one of my favorites. Right as the chorus starts, there are these thunderous drums that absolutely MAKE the song for me.

Whichever fansub group did the translation... it's kinda off. It's juvenile and amateurish to translate yarou-domo as "bastard crew". Whoever translated must still be in highschool. Like those VHS fansubs of dragon ball from Anime Labs back in the 90s where they would insert swear words wherever they could.

Hype...takes a whole new meaning with the intro. I remember first watching it all those years ago and thinking "wait, this has been good so far, is it upping the game?". I went from a casual OP fan to a die hard fanatic. Personally, I'm glad that you're NOT one of those reactors who skips the openings. I didn't pick up on anything major (because I'm a dunce who just enjoys things and doesn't see the forest for the trees). You get to view things like we did. The biggest hype I'm waiting for is the soundtrack. I'm so happy you guys have gotten this far - it's something I've been waiting for so sit back, relax, and enjoy One Piece

I half agree with this. Some intros can be very spoiler filled. Thats because most anime intros are made with the thought in mind that you have already read the manga and know what is gonna happen. That means anime-only viewers can get spoiled on some pretty major events.

Just a little correction, Shanks has not met with Whitebeard. Shanks sent a representative to meet with Whitebeard and Whitebeard basically told him to GTFO and tell Shanks to come himself if he wants to talk.

Yep u remember it well, they need only 2 more members. I mean they looking for 2, what we know so far. but you never know when some1 as Vivi or whoever apears and might join da gang ^_^
