Most of the fan base for this show can't even understand the terminology/mechanics for this show so I can't fault ya'll don't know Lol. Shoot even I'm confused half the time but I still watch cause its entertaining.

I know this is old now, but a correction no one but 1 family can flash cast. It is a closely held secret on how to do it. There is no reverse engineering here. Other then the people that are being hunted down but it is different as explained later they dont require a CAD. Maybe the anime didnt do a good job explaining flash casting, how it works and who knows how to do it. There could be other techniques or weapons being used if you dont recognize the CAD or see it.
