THEY TIED BACK TO Gol D Roger!!! like woow. although i was confused about why they no longer need to protect the artifact? like it can't be used anymore?  Also, makes a lot of sense why it was protected...in essence the Shanians were protecting the world...at least that was my perspective

depend on u. if you want more of Strawhats epic journey, go canon and skip. if u want to know more about SH crew, watch filler. but I think u both know them well, so it rlly depends on you guys I guess. peace

Hopefully you guys skip the fillers, they are not all that great, in my opinion anyway. The next arc is definitely one of the best in all of One Piece. P.S - Might want to avoid the opening for a little while, it contains heavy spoilers.

No worries G8 has its moments. I think the story picks back up around episode 227.

G8 is probably the best filler in one piece you should keep watching it, G8 end at 206 and from 207 to 219 is canon, then 220 to 226 is filler which you should skip, after that like 50 episodes all canon.

G8 is fine. After that i don't care for the Long Long Island part. BUT after that begins my absolute favourite Arc so far. They thought Skypea was good, and it was, but 227 -320+ will blow their mind.

the anime canon part 207-219 is what makes it worst if they didn't add that I think it would not have been that bad, and G8 in my opinion has one of the best comedy moments in one piece

G8 is a good arc. Filler, but fun for sure. Don't set your expectations high if you watch it but it is certainly funny. I would recommend watching it even tho I would prefer to get to the next canon arc quickly ;)
