Go back and look at what they call each other when Tatsuya first enters FTL... they call each other a certain name that acts as an alias that when combined.. That's why they go into describing how each of them contributes to their projects.. it is truly a joint effort.

He did tune her CAD, but that was 100% Tatsuya blasting the shielding spell to protect Miyuki. The discipline leader was shocked at it. They did describe them as being half-siblings last ep :P I love that line. 'He was wearing his bloodthirst like a goddamn cloak.' Erika such a troll...getting her to wear that outfit. Never thought about watching, but you right. the VAs do very well. and Tatsuya's VA is calm, except when he's not. does a very good job. I like the chairman. A lot of good trolls in this show. Don't think the chairman was speaking direct to Tatsuya. is good advice. effort applied to a particular specific thing, is much better than a lot of effort applied uselessly. I mean, there are reasons he's always around, in the right place, and aware. Also, remember things he did in the assault on Blanc. He is Miyuki's guardian, afterall. So, time to yeet him off the ship? other 5? I think George (or Georgey) Jumanji Tatsuya... maybe? Rin-chan? tho that seems a lot from 1 school. Boy this dynamic is something else :P

I know its not necessarily explicitly stated per se, but Tatsuya is 100% only half of the enigmatic Taurus Silver; Ushiyama san refers to Tatsuya as Mr. Silver while conversely Tatsuya refers to Ushiyama as Mr. Taurus. Tatsuya is the magic engineer while Ushiyama is the technical engineer and by working together they created the alias Taurus Silver; that being said I'm not 100% on whether or not the name Taurus Silver is an allusion to Tatsuya's Initials or just coincidence.

DirectorNasty irratated the heck out of me at the start. Tatsuya is Mr. Silver and the other guy is Mr. Taurus, together they are Taurus Silver. They need each other to develop these things. Mr. Silver specializes in magic, while Mr. Taurus specializes in technical science. This was literally said but directornasty was to busy tripping when he seen Mr. Silver he just assumed. I did the same on my first watch through, but my issue is how he blew any possibility he could be wrong.

To Expand on Peaceful Simply's comment, I'd even say that Tatsuya is the inventor while the Doc is the innovator. One of them makes something possible while the other makes it run more efficiently as well as making it more versatile. They both need each other to make their projects a relevant reality. That's how I see that relationship at least.

Actually, "Taurus" wouldn't even part of the inventor name if Tatsuya was an adult. The only reason the name ended up as "Taurus Silver" was because of him being not old enough to have his creations patented under his name, besides the fact that he is very modest and doesn't have any interest in taking credit for his work.

He can actually get other hardware specialists to work for him, so he isn't really reliant on the other guy. The only one necessary for the stuff created by them is Tatsuya himself, so he can do what he does with anyone that's really good at the hardware aspect of CAD. Seeing the type of stuff that has been created by other CAD makers in the series, it's obvious that Ushiyama isn't that special. However, I can see that Tatsuya's modest nature could give you the wrong impression.

I think the 5 people who saw the Patriarch has to be Tatsuya, Saegusa, Juumonji and Ichijou. As for the 5th one there are at least 4 candidates i know Cardinal George (because he is a genius researcher), Miyuki (due to her sheer magic interference power, to the point that I would say she would probably the most powerful in that specific area in the competition), Chiba Erika (Unlikely, but as she is a member of the main family of one of the 10 master clans like the other 4 people who saw the patriarch, its possible) and Honoka (Very underlooked character but as a very powerful mage who specializes in using light for illusions, it is very possible that she wouldve seen through a weak spell like that)
