I might be looking too deeply into this but the only reason I'm confused if it's Emilia or the witch of envy inside Emilia is because of the way she said I love you. When "Emilia" said it this time was "Daisuki" which is like "I really like you" like a softer way to say love while the witch said "Ai shiteru" which is more like 'I love you deeply" a harder love. So I'm not sure if that's Emilia losing her mind or the Witch trying to take over Emilia.

I think what Roswaal was trying to get across was that even though he knows he's gonna die due to Subaru he can still obtain his "true desire" like Beatrice did. He's clearly aware of RBD & is using Subarus ability to make sure that he completes that goal, I think the statement was more so a "I'm gonna keep aiding & using you no matter how many times or horribly I have to die cause it's that important to me." I'm really curious to see how things will play out now that another character clearly knows about RBD & it's Roswaal of all people! 😂

I got confirmation. It's Emilia mainly just mentally broken to child like state.

1. Beatrice teleported Subaru using that blue gem, I think Subaru still have the original gem he & Emilia got when they left to Sanctuary from that blond maid (forgot name). He took that from Emilia and was first teleported to the forest where he (we now know) met clone of Ryuzu. 2. Multiverse theory is pretty much what the show is. All the timelines keep going to their destinations when Subaru RBD. It's shown in anime pretty much season 1 episode 15. When Puck cuts Subaru's head off and those red end credits start to roll. Subaru's body slowly just keeps piling more and more snow as the time keeps going forward. I think that was already hint to people that no, that timeline doesn't stop and go backwards, but keep going forward without Subaru as his "time" ends there when he is dead. I think then he gets send back to that "checkpoint" time spot and another timeline starts from there which most likely will be totally different from where came with RBD. 3. I learned from LN reader, Roswaal doesn't know how exactly Subaru is able to move through time. So he doesn't know that death is the trigger for it. Remember that Witch Curse is still preventing Subaru and anybody else knowing about RBD. 4. Emilia what I understood was not Witch of Envy there, she was maybe slowly starting to be possessed. Again learned more from other comments I saw. She was shocked to learn Subaru had left her, then decide to try multiple times the trial to get the barrier open up so she could follow Subaru out of Sanctuary. The trial broke her mind to childlike state. In japanese she isn't saying "Aishteru" = "I Love you" which previous episode fully possessed Emilia was saying as witch of envy. Now she said it differently which roughly translated I understood how children say "I like you". 5. Last part of the episode, I learned in LN Subaru orders the clones of Ryuzu to help him against the Great Rabbit. He sees the villagers burn to death in the church building, then manages to get back to Emilia with the help of the clones, all the clones die and he is bit enough to bleed to his death in Emilia's lap.

One important thing that is hinted multiple times and 100% confirmed by...chibi short...the timeline don't end with RBD. The "fucked up world" Subaru is leaving behind, by restarting is still going forward.

That was emilia being broken, it wasn't satella, although i believe they are one in the same though.
