In your opening discussion it sounded like jealousy or envy not pride. i was team emilia before season 2 was even confirmed coming. I just love her character from design to personality.

I get your feelings about Subaru not asking Echidna any questions but here is what you need to understand : at this moment Emilia just passed out and Subaru has no idea where he is so you can understand how worried he is and how that makes sense he just want to get back to her. Also I think it's pretty good for Subaru not to ask too much questions to her. She is the Witch of Greed, for me if Subaru just straight asked her questions, it would be like him giving in to his own greed, and generally when Subaru gives in to his sin, it doesn't go well for him. If you really want to know, in the original source material, he actually asks her one specific question, but she is unable to really answer it so he just gives up asking her more questions.

you know that's a good point. Makes the Subaru character great to discuss because you can gather 5 people and they all see a different perspective. You're viewpoint is 100% logical. On my end, rare opportunity to ask this being a series of questions...got nothing important to ask? Also we do a lot of projecting of our own behavior and what we'd do in a given situation. Current me, likes to stay calm and assess the situation as much as possible ha. Ironically Director is much more passionate but not the loving type...so he'd demand some answers too before going back ha ha..it's really funny. I wonder how our personalities affect how we view the sceniorios.

Geting out of there as fast as possible was accualy the most logical thing to do. Remember, last time she was with Emilia something wierd was going on. If she die offscrean, and Return by Dead checkpoint updates, he lost, just like with Rem. And that was why he left ASAP

Haha, that true loves kiss jokes at beginning =D. Btw want to fix translation error in this episode that tea subaru drank was essence of sloth NOT envy, that is translation mistake.
