Gyo: It’s used to concentrate aura into a specific part of the body. It was explained loosely that people use gyo in their eyes to enhance them, thus allowing people to see nen that is being hidden by “IN”, but it can be used anywhere else in the body. SHU: Used to strengthen objects with nen. Example: Hisoka’s cards KO: used to focus “ALL” of your aura into one section of the body in order to strengthen it exponentially. KEN: It’s the act of mainting the state of ten for long periods of time. RYU: (not to be confused with Gyo) Is the act of distributing Ken/aura-outputs through out the body. Example the percentages talked about while they were sparing.

Episode 64 really puts in perspective how much more adept and advanced Kurapika was, in comparison to Gon&Killua, during the yorknew arc. He demonstrated his ability to use KEN and KO during his fight with Uvogin. This was shown during the fight when he used KO to block Uvo’s “Big Bang Impact” (which is really just Uvo’s punch enforced with KEN/KO, as mentioned by menchi when he used it on the shadow beast)
