Kurapika won mostly due to its strategy and mind games. Even though Uvo is the more powerful and experienced fighter, he still lost due to kurapika having literally thought/planned everything thru. However, even if kurapika seems OP, it’s important to keep in mind that for every powerful ability, there is an equally powerful drawback. Nen is all about an equivalent exchange in that sorts. Kurapika’s Emperor Time has incredible drawbacks that are never mentioned in the anime (just Manga), but they are hinted by Kurapika after he defeated Uvo

That's a good follow up. To piggy back, even Chrollo noted that Uvo was likely going against a Conjurer and that was putting him at disadvantage.. It's going to be interesting seeing this unfold.
