I think y'all are entirely right about Freya and Syr's connection. I think Horn is a real individual, separate individual, a girl she met, and she took her name and gave her the name Horn, and then she used the name for her alter ego Syr. And Horn's actually connected to her because of the name exchange. But y'alls version seems just as plausible, so I'm not sure at this point.

The author played the long game with this one. Go back and watch episode one of Season 1. The VERY FIRST TIME Bell feels Freya's gaze (It's around 11:26), he turns around and IMMEDIATELY runs into Syr. Later in season 1, Freya pulled a book off her shelf, and the next day, Syr gave him the grimoire that taught him firebolt.

Lee, I’m just stating facts from this episode and not going to say anything more so as not to spoil you. You can go back to the little girl scene at 19:16 because you guys and gal misunderstood the details. The little girl was called Syr originally. She offered her name “Syr” to Freya and Freya took her offer. In return, Freya named her “Hörn”. I’m not explaining anything about Freya’s scene as I think it’s going to be a spoiler. You can continue to speculate about Freya/Syr scene.

A long time ago, Orphan Syr made a deal with Goddess Freya, became Adventurer Horn, and was taught the Goddess Freya Transformation Jutsu, while Goddess Freya gained the Maid Syr Transformation Jutsu. Adventurer Horn wore the Goddess Freya Transformation and sat around looking pretty, while the REAL Goddess Freya with the Maid Syr Transformation got to roleplay at the Fertility Inn. Occasionally, Goddess Freya would have Maid Syr take Vacation Days so Adventurer Horn could level up and deliver date requests, while Goddess Freya sat on her own throne. One night after everybody had clocked out, Adventurer Horn (in a Maid Syr Transformation she developed for this) got jealous and rolled up on Goddess Freya in a rare moment where she was sitting on her own throne, and demanded a game where Bell had to figure out who was who. If Horn won, she would kill Bell. If Freya won, Horn would never interfere like this again. Bell was on a date with Goddess Freya (wearing her Maid Syr Transformation), and beat Goddess Freya's Seduction Genjutsu. The next morning, he bumped into Adventurer Horn (wearing HER Maid Syr Transformation) and she got found out. Then Bell went to the South Garden and found Goddess Freya (wearing her Maid Syr Transformation,) got rejected, and took off the Transformation.

I legit spent 10 mins in silence after the first watch. All I know is Horn and Freya are 2 different people and horn possible transforms into Freya and Syr. Syr seems to be a different personality or Freya. But IDK this has fried my Brain that will work itself out. All I know right now is we been bamboozled for 5 seasons? Our day 1 has been the OP for 4 seasons. I was feeling bad for her too.

Heard the end talk finally, what I don't get why do you think Horn was even a personality of Freya? I think she made Horn to be her duplicate when she needed to be Freya and not Syr so "Horn" was being Syr then. Freya I think gave her the ability to feel Syr when Freya was being her so she could know what happened so she could act accordingly instead of her. So Horn was a actual person that was made to be Syr clone and Syr = Freya, but her alter ego or different personality. This is what I got from this.

From what I understood after a rewatch, Horn is the original Syr. Freya took her ''Syr'' name and gave her Horn as a name instead. So the Syr persona is either the goddess herself or a personna she created with her powers.

Ok, I had to chime in on this. Bell is 14 y/o. The other girls aren’t too much older than him. Aiz is 16 Ryu is 21 Tiona and Tione are 17 Lili is 15 Mikoto is 16 Haruhime is 16 Cassandra is 18 Daphne is 18 Cat girls from tavern are 21/22 Eina (guild advisor) is 19 Syr (Hörn) is 18 Freya is just a couple of thousands y/o. It’s nothing like a ggggggggggggggggilf to get everyone hörn-y for her. That’s why she has Hörn as one of her name 😏 So except for Ryu, the rest are just around Bell’s age. So the author is definitely not being weird about the girls liking a young boy based on all their ages. Sorry Lee, breaking your illusions about some of the girls now that you know their actual age

what i get is, original syr exchanged names with freya and became Horn and is now linked with freya. because freya took the name syr she can now assume the form of a normal girl (current syr) and it was this form she tried to get to know bell/ seduce him. horn didnt like that freya was lowering herself and plotted to kill bell. since syr/freya was rejected freya decided that her syr form isnt useful anymore and is just gonna use force now. i just realized that in the freya familia meeting they were saying "whos gonna watch the girl" but they actually meant whos gonna watch Horn because they know shes gonna plot some ish

The way I understood it, was that Syr was a real person. Syr meets Freya and they make a magic deal where Freya shares some of her magic with Syr in exchange for Syr's name and appearance. (I say magic, because how else would Horn have that mind link thing she was talking about in the episode + the ability to transform. If I'm wrong and you're a LN reader, please don't spoil it for me. I'm still like, 4 novels behind lol) Freya takes the name Syr and her appearance and then gives Syr the name Horn. With this, Freya can cosplay as a normal girl without everyone foaming at the mouth when she walks by, while Horn cosplays as Freya. I'm assuming only a handful of Freya Familia elites know this is happening, like Ottar, the cat dude, edge lord, elf fuck boy and those 4 generic dudes. Horn, having her mind link with Freya knows what she is thinking/feeling and is aware of the effect her infatuation is having on her mental health. Thus, she comes up with a plan to kill Bell and "free" Freya from her prison. (Personally, I think this is just her jealousy. It's been shown a few times how fanatical the Freya Familia is for their goddess) What I'm not 100% on, is which Syr was making the deal with which Freya over the date with Bell. I'm assuming it was Horn as Syr, asking the goddess if she could have the date with Bell with the plan being to kill him if he couldn't figure out which Syr was Freya and which was Horn? It's kind of a big brain move and I dont know enough about Horn to know if she can 4D chess like that. Also, would Freya even agree to that risk? Or is her confidence in Bell just that high? I'm sure the anime will reveal lol

4:10 - they covered it in the Ishtar arc but Bell can't be charmed nor emotionally manipulated with skills or magic even by goddesses specializing in that; Hell Uncle Hermes couldn't even resist Ishtar's charm skill and he's one of the most broken gods in Greek mythology especially when it comes to magic. Bell, like Ais, also isn't fully human so they may just be resistant due to being hybrids since they're the only ones we've seen resist mind skills so far.

The Syr we've been seeing chase after Bell from the very beginning has been Freya in disguise. That's my take. Bell never had a relationship with Horn, the original Syr. Horn is a separate human being from Freya.

Yeah I thought that too. But at the same almost makes it worse like I felt I betrayed as a viewer like wait you been lying to me. 😆 Also at the same time felt like fro Syr's perspective I got the jealousy she was our day one. But the thing I like most about her character is while she's the OP she has yet to do anything I'd consider too far for her goals. I just really love her character.
