I believe he has on his own, I have watched it too tho and it was really good. Made a list of all Kdrama I have watch with cdrama, approaching a 100 😂

CDramas are soooo good. I prefer fantasy-historical (Xianxia) and martial arts historical ones (Wuxia). Modern day CDramas I take on a case-by-case basis but I also haven't seen a lot of modern Mainland Chinese shows so I won't comment more on that. The Double is on my list to watch but I haven't yet so I'll skip the reaction for now and circle back once I've watched the show.

Same, I prefer the costume ones, but there are some good modern ones as well. I watched the double when it was airing, the first few episodes really had me hooked but then I fell off in the middle, but it's a good show

The premise of the Chinese donghua (anime) is actually pretty dope. They follow a clear leveling system that makes it easy to understand power scales. However finding a good translation proves to be the biggest problem since Aniwave shut down.

C drama OSTs and historical C dramas in general are always so poetic, it makes me really appreciative of 'fine' arts. Most of these C dramas are based off novels like this one. Despite this having an overly used trope, it works

BTTH, Swallowed Star, Throne of Seal, A Will Eternal & rewatch my favorite donghua of all time Mo Dao Zu Shi aka Founder of Diabolism. These sites also post to their YouTube although some shows/episodes are restricted for members.

It's been a good while since I watched C dramas and I only watched The Double cause I remember Lee mentioned watching it a while back and his comment about the flying people being the normal made me crack up. After episode 1, I was hooked. The show did not disappoint. I also really enjoyed the OSTs cause they're so beautiful and emotional and I have added some to my playlist. The characters were also enjoyable to watch and I couldn't help thinking about Lee's reaction and gravitation towards the toxicity of the "villain" in this drama. Overall, it was a good watch and watching your commentary on this OST makes me want to watch it again.

I read the novel so watching it is a memory check for me lol. Check out The Great Ruler. It takes place after btth & martial universe. Xiao Yan & Ling Dong are in the story later on but Xiao Yan is mentioned around episode 40ish. The Dragon Prince is BTTH prequel story. I read all of the novels.

They rushed it and had a crappy ending that made it seem like it was sad and then they had to serve up the extras to make up for it. Yeah, I'm still irritated.

I almost watched The Double multiple times, but each time I ended up watching something else. Currently halfway through Destined and I am enjoying it a lot. I will end up watching The Double one day. I am just waiting for anyone to answer me whether the ending is happy or not because I've heard different things about the ending XD. I can't handle unhappy endings anymore.

If you liked The Double, maybe try watching Princess Royal which is now available on Netflix as well. The main leads are smart & have 🔥 chemistry like The Double. although the storyline may get a bit more irritating than the Double (due to supporting characters in Princess Royal) but overall it was good.
