her first name is sol, family name im. in english you would say sol im. since it's korea, you say the last name first, so it's im sol. that's why when they're more intimate he just calls her sol-ah. the 'ah' is used when you're close enough to call someone by their given name. so technically the 's' on the necklace can be either for sunjae or sol. i'm guessing he meant it for sol, tho. he's a bit romantic like that. also, she definitely wasn't on a date....? i was very confused about that conclusion. nothing in their demeanor even indicated they were dating. he calling himself her oppa, she scoffed. they talked about the model and he said he should have had inhyuk introduce her to him. the other things could be written off as 'playful' flirting, but when looking at it in context that they're not dating, she told him his eye smile doesn't work on her anymore. i dunno, i think the reach was strong with this one...

not sure why he should automatically get a chance at dating just because he liked her for so long? that sounds like a very forced ideal on the character. this drama obviously is dealing with the idea of 'soulmates'. sol is very obviously tied to sunjae, and he was tied to her from the beginning as well. it was stated many times that he has never been with another woman also, having waited those 15 years in several different life times. i like taesung as well, but he wasn't even in the original manhwa. i understand why they originally added him in the drama, but his time with sol is done.

she completely removed herself from his life from the moment he met her. It was love at first sight that umbrella in the rain scene so she avoided him so he never meets or falls in love with her. So present day sunjae is famous. He was always meant to be famous in any timeline it looks like.

Sol never liked him especially in this timeline, where she should have to deal with avoiding sunjae, her heart belongs to sunjae. She doesn't want to give mixed signals and hope when she knows she will never stop loving sunjae. Taesung deep down knows about that

Taesung knows how in love they both are, he witnessed how strong their love is he realized his bus already left it would be poor writing to give this relationship a chance when it's obvious to who sol's heart will always belong truly. Her crush for Taesung was never strong enough

its funny that you said that you'd believe the actor really likes this actress cause an interview on a radio show of the actress of sol's mom came out yesterday. And she said at the beginning of the drama shoot Wooseok(sunjae) asked her for advice on how to portray his love for Sol naturally, and she told him to try liking her for real and then he was like ''can I do that? Okay I shall do that then'' sooo... i mean, you asked a question and got back pretty chill and logical answers. not everyone is going to think the way you do, and posting comments online is putting yourself out there for discourse. some people will think like you and believe that the second lead deserves a chance, that's where the term 'second lead syndrome' comes from, and others will think less emotionally and more logically on what may fit better with a storyline. no one here is upset, except maybe yourself?

the thing is unlike many dramas i don’t think this could work here, sol never loved him like that, it was just a high school crush for her but also taesung even tho he liked her i don’t think his romantic feelings for her were as strong either. but most importantly, taesung is more than just a second lead or a love interest, he actually has a life and personality outside of Sol and he actually played such a huge role in bringing sol & sunjae together and **spoiler** putting an end to their ill fated relationship. he’s such a special character

I hate how op these KDrama villains get. They get sooo much plot armor. This dude beat multiple police officers and got away unscathed. I remember the same thing happening in Flower of Evil. That one bully from All of us are Dead. Plus I'm also reminded of that random generic businessman from Train to Busan who became an op villain with plot armor

I give this a past because the MC has time travel powers and is going against fate to a certain point. So certain things seem inevitable like Sunjae always coming no matter we she is.

She’s fighting hard against “fate” and the cosmetic order is correcting itself. They have to meet the conditions properly for a better outcome My explanation isnt what the show says. Just my read on it

One minor gripe about the plot is in the 2nd half of the show. For some reason, she forgot she has the power to stop time and use that to teleport yeet herself anywhere as long as she yells spoilers. This would have been useful multiple times to stop that over powered killer dude. All she has to do is yell that Obama becomes president like she did in class.

i mean, yes...but also.... if the villain sees that she can just disappear, he may set up contingencies for that and make things even worse for them, similar to how the villain did in strong woman. he found out she has powers, found a weakness, and exploited it.

You're right about that, but at the same time she has super powers; she should have found a way to utilize those powers to assist in subduing that killer, or at least redirecting history. The anime Go Go Loser Ranger actually does this where the main character hides his powers under a smokescreen, but still uses it to his advantage.

J man 100% agree. Also you can use that to show a person you have powers like Sunjae. And hed finally 100% believe you and now you make plans properly. Lol. If the villain makes a counter plan. Doesn’t matter really. She has super powers basically and nobody with those powers wouldn’t try use them. So she should use them and if the villains counters cool. Well at least its explored. She has used it to hide from a father but not the real villain??? Lol. That doesn’t really make sense as it is.

But would hiding prolong the inevitable? When time is frozen they haven’t shown us that she’s able to interact with the world and only herself. Hypothetically if she did freeze time to get away, when time resumes wouldn’t he just go after her again? I do agree that trying wouldn’t hurt the situation any more.

All great responses but the primary point is that its not explored. The show doesn’t articulate or explain why she doesn’t utilize this. Thus a person like me/us is left quietly frustrated shes not exploring all the possibilities. The writer just needs to show that he or she considered this and show why it doesn’t happen. (Btw writer doesn’t have yo do anything. I am only here cuz i saw someone think the same as me. I barely talk about it on camera cuz i dont wanna irritate people with my opinions. So i get it)

I personally think the writer didnt wanna open up the strong woman bong soon part and make it about powers. Haha. Cuz then maybe villain wears headphones or unaffected while in a car because he cant hear her. And that could distract from the theme the writer is focused on. I logically understand creatively why it’s unnecessary to treat it like a super power and its fine. Obviously i am a fan of super hero genres. So i cant help but think that way. But its not a super hero show. Its a love story and she can travel through time and she has rules in place to restrict what she can do. Those rules are generally for plot reasons to add challenges to why she can’t convey too much info and make her struggle greater

Totally right. They essentially "wrote themselves into a corner" by introducing the fun power loophole where the best thing for drama would have been to just ditch the whole time stop as a cop out.
