Rudy honoring his father's legacy by cheating on his wife. It's what Paul would have wanted. Grandma with the co-sign. Gotta catch that charmander now boiiii 1st dual wielder with only 1 good hand eyyy

Shakir

It’s not cheating if you struck in grief

Gundam42 D

Rudy just doesn't have a good track record with first times with his women. Eris gives him PTSD, Sara finds out he has erectile disfunction , Syphy had to ruffy his drink and Roxy took advantage of his mental state. Guy thinks he's a player but he's actually a chronic victim which is ironic.

Ruin

💀 I just feel like Rudy was forced into this idk she did it at his most vulnerable. The reasoning makes a little sense but still.

AlmaWade 1979

Glad I'm not the only one who felt like that while watching. I thought she's gonna spend at least some time actually trying to comforting him before "comforting" him, lol.

Roronoa Zoro

The situation was honestly a little worse in the LN. the anime lowkey nerfed this moment

Anthony Stone

If Slyphy’s Granny is cool with it i’m cool with it. Go ahead and marry her bro

mitch anderson

Apparently there's some cut content from the light novel that gives more of an explanation.

Anthony Stone

Adorkable was not able to hide her digust this whole episode 😂

Dragon

all for it honestly

Neo Don

Therapy and recovery 💀

I have the impression that Sylphy is quite open to a polyamorous relationship. All her life she has been in contact with people who have such a relationship and saw it as normal. She knew Paul with two wives and after the teleportation she grew up in an aristocratic house where each of them had such a life.

Danny

she did say she was alright with Rudy finding a mistress. idk if that would be different if he wifed Roxy instead. since theres still a difference between mistress and a second wife i think

Tbush

From "ask me again in 10 years" to "ask me again after you get your wife's permission"

BalmunGG

Adorkable's face was priceless the whole episode lol. I liked how she said she was "normal", from what i've understood from the show in THAT world polygamy is pretty much the normal and the "weirdos" are the Millis followers, the complete opposite from our world.

Ethan Carson

i feel like sylphy is obsessed with rudy to the point that as long as they are nice and rudy approves of them she will accept them into the family because remember sylphy has trauma too even though she probably doesn't notice it. She was bullied almost her whole childhood because of the color of her hair and rudy saved her causing her to want to support him.

Ruin

Yeah i keep hearing about how they cut some things in the anime probably due to the backlash of the first season.

SpartanManJDOGG

Paul was hinting at this I think. He knew his son was really like him too.

Jc

polyamorous relationships are the norm in their world

R'ja Norr

It's characters like Roxy that make it impossible for me to use the word "lollygag" without having really immature thoughts....... And now I'll see myself out.

Anthony

"When I lose my dad that's what I'm looking for" I'm right there with you brother 😌🙏🤣

AtomicRazor

All these people saying polygamy is the norm in this world when the only poly relationship I can remember seeing is Paul's.

Jerome

Enjoyed the outro discussion. Correct me if I'm wrong but in this world having multiple wives is normal and Rudy is the only one struggling to wrap his head around having 2 wives probably because he was reincarnated. Also, Adorkable wasn't having any of this cheating and multiple wives nonsense this entire episode. It was funny watching her throughout the episode.

pachinko

in Rudy's lil goddess shrine hes always had something from roxy and now sylphy so 🤷‍♂️ yea.. 1 more to complete the triforce i guess

kimkheang

If Rudy want to have multiple wives, just be emotional depression then you will get another goddess.

Tony

He met Roxy 1st.Roxy#1

RSquirrel

How did you like the arc which, at the time of reading, was both my favourite and least favourite arc. I have read to the end now so it's defiantly no longer my favourite but I still get an irrational disgust from this whole situation. The worst part is that there is no individual person who's completely at fault, just a really shitty situation caused by multiple factors and that everything else, including the emotional impact and storytelling is incredible. I had dealt with the moral part of the books after coming back from dropping the books on volume 2 and restarted, but in my mind, this is where they crossed my moral line causing me to drop the book series a second time before picking it back up two years later. Don't get me wrong, I'm nor religious or completely against polygamy, Its just that in this situation, it is unmistakably cheating on his wife the moment he accepted her advances as well as the other party knowingly instigating this situation, regardless of the reasons. Of corse there are multiple circumstances involved as stated earlier which just makes this a fucked up situation in which I understand the authors meaning but still hate it and respect it. I don't like it at all, although I understand that Mushoku Tensei is that kind of story making me have a love/hate relationship with this show.

I've waited so long to see this reaction! Director and Lee y'all nailed it right on the head. Rudy did in fact, NOT view Paul or Zenith as his parents. To him, they were just people he knew. Mentally, Rudy was much older than either of them. I will add a reminder. Paul booted Rudy out of the house when he was like 8. Personally, I can not blame him for not having much of a connection with Zenith. There was really no time for him to really get to know that woman. Unlike with Paul. With Paul he spent a lot of time bantering and horsing around with him. The impression I got, was that Rudy viewed Paul as more of a friend than a father. That's why the parts with living with his sisters are so important to the story. Its in that arc, that he truly starts to understand family and view them as such.

ANIMEMUSE

This is the one time I can actually forgive Rudy. in the span of a day. He lost his dad, his mom is basically a vegetable, and he lost his arm. His moral compass is out of wack. To top it all off, his dad died saving him, so we can add an extreme amount of guilt on top of all that depression. When your that far, unless you have an extreme amount of will, you will do just about anything to make your self feel better, which in this case was sleeping with Roxy. It does not make cheating right at all, but I can understand why he did it, if it was anyone other than Roxy, he probably would not have done it.

Random58

Man fuck Millis. I need me a chick that’s gonna take every inch of this burden. FACTS.

Danny

Now he no longer needs to sniff those panties

Stevetheiguana

With regards to Rudy’s relationship with Paul, it seemed Rudy held a superiority complex towards Paul for a bit. Early on he mentioned being canonically older and more mature than Paul, and was talking in circles around him at a young age. Like he said about Zenith, he just viewed them as people he happened to live with. Rudy was such an anomaly of a child, that Paul didn’t really get to have the feeling of actually raising a son tbh. Rudy also gets shipped off for the job with Eris at a young age, and it’s what, several years before he sees Paul again? Then there’s another long gap between their reunion in S1 and S2. And with even less time with Zenith, it’s not too surprising he wasn’t feeling that kind of attachment.
