“Out of 23 posts on a weekly basis. …5 of them are Kdramas . Next week we add the boys. So that will be 5 kdramas out of 25 posts.”

Lol without attacks on each other. Haha. I gotta understand how folks keep thinking you’re flooded with Kdramas?

I think you guys get that impression cuz i ask about kdramas, post personal kpop reactions, and personal reviews. Lol. That bothers you? Would you like my solo time utilized differently? Covering more anime on my own or something?

What is it that sparks that feeling.

Lets keep the conversation respectful Guys.

Just hearing people out.

I will be posting 5 western live actions a week.

People dont seem to point out western lives. Just Kdramas

My bad Lee if u thought I was tryna attack him lol 😂 Just tryna help that’s all 🙏👍

Yaboyrocklee

Nooooo. I am keeping people from attacking. I am preemptively setting the tone. You have been fine.

Coping McCoperson

Uncover his name. Shame him. I will go to fucking war

Nu'Shadoe

Tbh I may be biased as someone who doesn't like Kdramas, however I just keep quiet. I DO notice you post a lot of miscellaneous videos and tweet about various Korean actors, models, singers, and their culture in general. Again, I just keep quiet but I do get all these notifications lol

DefianceR6

I think its psychological, I felt the same till I took a step back and looked just at schedule. For example Kdramas are only 5/23 but they are posted evenly Monday-Friday meaning every single day a noti for Kdrama is out. On the flipside people who watch anime lets say care for 50-70% of the anime you cover at a given time. So if their show isnt on then it feels like a dry day. E.g I only watch Anime reactions (rarely Kdramas) and for Anime I don't care for Konasuba, so Monday-Friday I have 3 reactions I watch out of 13 that come out. There is no good solution to this but this is just from personal experience.

Yaboyrocklee

Hell ya. Haha. I got no defense. I happen to be very intrigued with that world and the community interactions are a bit different

Yaboyrocklee

YES. Currently I do not have enough heat to distribute throughout the week and most of it is occurring on the weekends. Funny thing is I’ve considered delaying the weekend to psychologically spread them out through the week

Yaboyrocklee

I haven’t done that because I feel it’s some peoples best interest to get them soon but they would feel better seeing an anime they like occur every day

Yaboyrocklee

It kind of reminds me of people who cannot save money on their own so you have to manage their money and drip it out because they spend it all all at once. Hahaha

Yaboyrocklee

I’ve had the same experience in live actions like “the boys or you”. Great western live action kind of come and go

Yaboyrocklee

In general I gravitate towards live action content because I like to be closer to reality in terms of what stays rent free in my head. if that makes sense. Show like Bleach, and Frieren do remain but they are far in between. Eminence does and Muschoko Tensei does but only when Rudy is mentally suffering lol

Edward Chireno

As someone who doesnt watch the kdramas when you post episodes and the other post you normally do about something kdrama related it makes phone notifications at least feel like a ton of kdramas post while is only a few shows. I dont mind the post either way even if they are not for me

Nu'Shadoe

I think its the notifications to be real with you.I can't really turn them off cause that's how I get notifed for your content that I enjoy. I avoid the Korean side of things with your social media and channels but still get them daily cause theres no filter and it's just hard to avoid, I wouldn't say anything negative to you about it though.

koma

Why is that a problem tho ? Its something he really enjoys doing ALONE by the way. Which indicates some 'me time' he wants to spend for himself on his channel. and patrons like it so its good. I dont see the bad side of it. Since we barely get any content. Im a drama watcher and for us its basically 1 video a day. Which SUCKS by the way, but we acknowledge the 25 other videos so we cant complain. What is it with anime fans that irk them so much about kdramas ? Is there a dynamic in place that im not grasping ? Are our genre supposed to be ennemies ? Im really genuinely asking. What is the problem with rock Lee enjoying kdrama at the same level as anime ?

DefianceR6

I agree, I like the idea of getting splurged on Sunday/Sat with tons of my fav animes but the weekdays feel very dry when there isnt enough seasonals covered that spill into Mon/Thurs time slots. Its hard due to seasonals always being weekend stacked, but maybe for a later time stack up a show like you did with Toradora so that you can drip like 2 eps a week to fill spots when a day doesn't receive anime? idk you know better, but I do like the analogy of the money-saving. I do that when I lock like 70% of my income so I don't splurge on impulse decisions.

Nu'Shadoe

Koma, I don't have a problem with your side of the community. It's just the notifications I get swamped with in regards to Korean culture and there's no way to avoid it. I'm not hostile towards Lee or you guys, it's just a slight irk.

koma

Also I want to point out that anime watchers have no idea what it feels like to have multiple notifications coming trough per day but every time you go see it’s not the video you were waiting for 😂😂. Y’all have it easy and are still the one complaining.

koma

And to be honest I believe he post a lot of these miscellaneous videos because he’s kind of at the start of his k drama journey. He is just getting into this new fascinating world. I believe once kdrama gain longevity on his account ( we have a long way to go compared to the anime’s history) and he get to know many actors and genres, those videos will become rather rare. So I would also want to ask you guys for patience. Don’t be mean to us let’s live together 😂

koma

I understand then. And I want you to know that this slight irk is mutual. Lmao. But I guess the anime people are more vocal about their dislike ( im not talking about you specifically)

Dist

5 western live action a week! Let’s fucking goo!

Yaboyrocklee

You are right. This time around i didn’t invest enough time up front to have the Toradora replacement ready. But I was enjoying what we were covering.

Nu'Shadoe

Correct, anime people can be more vocal and hostile about their grievances. We can agree on that part

Yaboyrocklee

This guy Nu Shadoe is really a good guy. Hes just sharing the perspective cuz i asked. But Yes Koma this world is very fresh to me. So i have the baby excitement hahaha. I dont know how ill be a year from now. Many things feel currently new to me. Heres the other part. I can talk more about kdramass because they are contained to one season. With animes. I easy get spoiled the more i talk about them. I can watch 1 season of a kdrama and be an expert. With an anime. I can only be an expert up to that point. Manga and light novel info is prevalent and I compete with content creators who do reviews based on mangas as well. So i have more freedom to talk about finished kdramas in great detail and full interaction.

River Bleu

For some reason, I feel like even if you only do 2 - 3 kdramas a week they are still gonna complain and say they're getting flooded with it. I think you're right about the reason being the personal posts regarding korean related things. But still, i do not get why people are getting mad about it. It's not like you only post reviews for kdramas, you also do it with other shows you like (e.g. x-men). Your channel and reach is also growing with you diving deeper into kculture and that benefits even those who doesn't like kdramas. I hope people becomes more understanding and learn to just ignore things they don't like instead of spreaing negativity.

TAC Genesis

idk, i know you dont post that many out of everything else but idk why i always seem to see kdramas more. i must be more subconsciously aware of them for some reason...

Alex Castle

I joined because of your anime reactions. I started checking out your k drama reactions and I'm really liking them. (:

Yaboyrocklee

Hahah. I accept that response. I happen to notice things I dislike in a comment way more than all the positive comments

Giada Mattiucci

(Sorry for my english) I subscribed when you guys started reacting to Business proposal, it's been months already, and of course during this time you reacted to a lot of things. I'm here only for kdramas, and i'm interested only in romance. It happened that I stayed here just for a kdrama out of two, because the other wasn't my genre and of course you react also to anime and western show in which I'm not interested in and I received a tons of notifications, but what's the matter? I knew it when I subscribed and I actually don't care, the notifications don't bother me, I check your schedule so I know when you upload the show I'm interested in and that's it. People should just live their life and let the other leave their own and enjoy whatever they want. <3

Ash

Wow 25 posts?! Jeez lmao. Man I don't know why it seems like Kdrama drops stand out more. Maybe they just have too much aura? Ah but seriously, I think it's fine. I know I've mentioned I'm a die hard anime fan but I like to check out other shows you react to too. I will say I get a *tiny* bit jealousy of the K-pop reactions. Not saying what you should do in your free time. Just curious, do you ever check out the "first take" channel for anime musicians? I think the content they put out is amazing.

Maria

some folks need to grow up, it ain't that deep fam. getting 5 notifications for kdramas every week is not too bad compared to kdrama fans who receive 20 notifications for Anime/western shows every week. Also, why do y'all even care that much, don't you guys get the content you're promised ? as long as that's the case, Rockleee and the crew can watch whatever tf they want...this whole situation is so silly and childish.

Danny

lol it is kind of weird that kdrama has so much presence. its most likely like u said, u put out alot of non reaction kdrama content so it seems overwhelming. but if u take a step back to count the reactions, its really not that many

グレンダ-Glendale

You guys totally need to watch the Kdrama Penthouse it's sooo good ! It mystery, thriller, revenge and everything. Honestly one of the best kdramas. You guys can just watch one episode and see if you like it.

Ash Jamil

Y’all so so much and post so much for us it’s kinda crazy that ppl have the audacity to complain 😭😭😭

River Bleu

Penthouse was good until it wasn't. More than half of the people who loved it grew to hate it and not in a good way. That drama had so much twists that weren't needed but were added to make the drama going because of the high ratings. It's so problematic they even disrespected some cultures. If they stuck with just one season it would've been amazing but they got greedy.

グレンダ-Glendale

Yeah I actually agree.. They should have only done season 1 or even maybe 2. But for me season 1 was too good. And yeah them disrespecting cultures was not it at all.

Name

Wow so not true you guys post more anime and other stuff im personally only here for kdramas and i get many notifications and few on actual kdrama reactions why are they hating I don’t understand why are you not letting the rest of the people enjoy I would be ATTACKED if I said anything similar on K-pop or anime let people be it’s not affecting the rest of the content

Zzzboy888

I gotta a slightly different perspective on this but I agree with the people saying it’s psychological. I watch a lot of content on here - idk if I’m a rare breed but I enjoy Kdramas, anime and live action (just depends on how good the show is). Main takeaway is very few Kdramas being watched are ongoing - in fact the Kdrama fans on here don’t even recommend ongoing ones until they make sure it’s fire and well into the season I.e: all the episodes are out. Only 2 shows get watched at a time. Therefore the switch up to the next show is relatively a lot faster. The Kdrama Patreon chat is also more active this way and there are A LOT more suggestion posts from LEE. Thus just create a bubble where it feels that Kdrama content is being prioritized. The anime with real heat right now (some anime is so mid no matter how much you try) are all weekly releases so it takes like 3 months to even finish one anime and it’s drip fed (cause of weekly releases) so it seems like starvation. This is just my take on things.

Khadijah

i joined patreon after watching your youtube channel and I started getting into kdramas. i’ve literally been scanning the chats for new recommendations for asian and western dramas. so i really love the feedback! i’m more of a drama/action fan and overtime grew appreciation for the romcoms. i’m interested in anime’s but just haven’t gotten around to picking one to start. overall no matter the genre i’m enjoying the experience and I’m pretty open. i don’t get annoyed w/ the anime post or anything outside of the kdrama chats. i just keep track of the shows and movies i know nothing about and watch them later ❤️

Nicholas Castillo

I’ll be honest, I thought you only watch like two or 3 K dramas. It’s always weird when people complain. It’s like watching less K dramas does not mean they’re gonna get more of their show. It’s probably just gonna be less shows overall And in my opinion, from what I’ve noticed, most kdramas are pretty short. I appreciate y’all not just watching anime Because besides, my few favorite ones, I would have nothing else to watch on here with you guys if you only watched anime. I think my favorite show that I watch with y’all right now is the bear because it’s such a different intensity with live action. And the look of anxiety on y’all’s face every time y’all watch the show is funny and hilarious And I’m just excited to see y’all go through the emotions and even though I already watch the show and I enjoy it seeing y’all react to moments and then talk about your thoughts and what you were expecting and scared of it’s just great

Jessica

Also I think its an eh anime lineup right now. Dont kill me for this take loool. So nothing to look forward to anime wise. Not a current patron, but of your animes I only care for ds. So besides ur kdrama, ive just been waiting for the other animes to end to see whats next 😅

Zzzboy888

This is so true - some of the anime right now are so mid (not pointing specifically at the ones Lee reacts to but in general) but nobody is ready to hear it. They’ve been reacting to anime shows for years there’s only so many masterpieces. It also doesn’t help that we are comparing it to The Bear (objectively excellent show) or Queen of Tears (another amazing show) right now.

Jamaal Wilson

It's pretty much if a person is only present for a type of show, then they disregard all the shows they aren't watching being reacted to. If they aren't watching anything but K-Dramas and are used to a certain amount, anything more than that will seem like flooding. Like could you imagine watching Hellbound, Squid Game, All of Us are Dead, The Glory, and My Name all at once? A person like me would love it, but I could see how somebody else might feel overwhelmed trying to keep up with all the reactions of such great K-Dramas...especially if they watch multiple reactors.

Jamaal Wilson

Windbreaker, Kaiju No.8, Tensura, Demon Slayer, Mushoko Tensei, KonoSuba, One Piece, My Hero Academia.....which of these is mid or eh? Cause they aren't watching much else besides that to override this lineup. Delicious in Dungeon, Go Go Loser Ranger, Spice and Wolf, Love Chunibyo and Other Delusions might not be everybody's cup of tea, but they collectively aren't capable of overriding the aforementioned shows.

Yaboyrocklee

NGL thats why these other shows are a breath of fresh air. Not everything is peak. Need some other cushions lol

Yaboyrocklee

Yeah. Lol. Just gotta count them on the schedule hahahan a lot is grouped up in the weekends hahah

Zzzboy888

My friend I come in peace for real. Everyone has their own tastes and it’s valid- if you scroll down to my comment on this post I said the anime with heat that are peak are weekly releases I.e: ongoing. So 1 episode a week. So it’s drip fed giving this illusion of anime is just an after thought. I am not pushing for a line up change, I’m saying anime only watchers need to stop victimizing themselves about Kdrama notifications (I explain this in my comment below). Im not gonna say any anime is trash, they all have positives about them - but my hero academia or Kaiju No. 8 or Windbreaker is not the same level of heat as Attack on Titan, Oshi No Ko, 86 or Solo Leveling and that’s ok too. But imagine if they were watching Attack on Titan 3 episodes a week and Demon Slayer 2 episodes a week - that’s the level of shows that are being watched on the live action and Kdrama side.

Ash

ah this is a pretty interesting take. I agree the heat anime shows come out weekly and usually on the weekends so it takes longer to go through one fire anime vs a fire kdrama. (maybe, I didn't do any math checks)

Zzzboy888

Thank you! Yeah the math works out - 16 episode Kdrama 3 a week works out to 5ish weeks vs 13 episode weekly anime that would take almost 3 times as long. Key point also is that they are EARLY into the Kdrama universe so there’s so much fire there to watch which gets people on here excited. If we fast forward 3 years into the future it would be different.

Jessica

Jamaal you missed the most crucial part of my comment... "i think" lol this is just my opinion. I dont care for windbreaker, kaiju no8, mushoko, konosuba, mha, delicious, loser ranger, spice and wolf. I tried watching on my own, was bored. I did mention liking ds tho. I just dont care for the lineup this current moment. Nothing wrong with that 🤷‍♀️

Yaboyrocklee

You are correct ZZZ the Kdramas typically end and are replaced at a faster rate. The same anime takes 3 months and kdramas usually end each month. Haha. I do talk about them more in the patreon chat as well. I dunno what to do about that one lol. Its a faster moving world schedule wise.

Menmjau

If it bothers people that much to get notifications that you're uninterested in just turn them off and keep an eye on the schedule. And it's also not that hard to just check in on the app once a day and scroll through the new posts to see what you like. I get people want to have the notifications for the stuff they want to watch, but if the other stuff bothers them so much it might be worth the "trouble" of not having them on

Cocalita

This will always be crazy to me. I get all the notifications for kdramas and animes so I know there are a lot of anime reactions. Shit's crazy. I have to go with it being "psychological". That's my respectful take.

Xsardes

Well, they do stand out as hell. I think its for 2 main reasons: 1. They are grouped together, so we encounter "walls of KDrama" 2. Current lineup in general is mid as fuck, so one needs to scroll for a while to get to whatever they want to get, making these walls more annoying than they should be Aslo for me personaly when you post shit tier anime, I know its shit and will never ever check it out, so I scroll past it like I do adds on insta, but when scrolling past KDrama I have no bloody idea is IT any good, and these fuckers are 1h+. I know like 8/10 will be shit (I mean meby not objectivly bad, just not for me) so checking them out most of the time would be disapointment, and A LOT of wasted time...and time is one thing I dont have enough to just waste like that...but then again the remaining 2/10 KDramas are certyfied bangers, and missing out on them when they are litteraly there pisses me off...so yea seeing KDrama pop up during scroll is statisticly lose if you clock, lose if you dont, so seeing them in the first place is lose situation

Emanuel

3 words: First world problems. That’s all it is - I wouldn’t look into it too deeply. People really getting salty about the notifications…..🙄 Just keep doing what you enjoy and let haters hate I try to stay open minded and give all the genres a chance so I’ve enjoyed bangers across all of them. Don’t have a fav genre coz of that Btw, next time you feel like doing a western live action, got those fire recs ready and waiting👌

Sal

Its kinda crazy when they are lot more anime being covered from kdramas. Get notifications for something you're not interested in? *ignore* . Idk how someone gets upset over something like that. Anyway I'm here for the kdramas and once in awhile anime. Also can't wait for The Boys (first time catching it live).

SaintLiam

You can't have Kdramas without the drama.

Silvy

I have never commented here till now, as I usually just comment on youtube. But I suppose I will give my opinion on this. I think the main issue is you started off with mainly anime reaction content, and so a lot of people who followed, likely expect that, more so than kdramas. And the notifications certainly don't help. Think of it like youtube. It's why youtubers will often separate their channels for different types of content. Not sure if that is really a viable option though here on your patreon. Edit: If anything, the moment the KDrama content started taking off, had I been in your position, I probably would have created a separate patreon to avoid these kinds of issues. With that said... I mean, you could also just ignore the complaints lol.
