That's not how it works. Read the mood, this is Hashira Training Arc. It's literally a training arc, and the shortest arc of the series. This is the calm before the storm, so just sit back and relax. Also, death doesn't have to happen for a series to be entertaining or engaging.

When it comes to improving your army (or any group, from your company to your country), there are two schools of Thought: Raise the Floor and Lower the Ceiling. By training up the regular scrubs, they're Raising the Floor: Raising the minimum level of skill of your weakest troops. By reaching out to Tamayo and letting the Hashira train against each other, (essentially Research and Development) they're Lowering the Ceiling: Making it easier for your best troops to reach the highest level of skill.

Outro was 100% the opening of this season. Sad this will be dragged out as Hashira Training arc is short and this season will be less action so don't expect stuff like season 2 or 3. For full war we need to get to the next arc, so basically now season 5.

I think based on the manga. Tanjiro's family are the ones who inherit the power and technique of the first Hashira, one who almost killed Muzan. So, Tanjiro had the mark while Nezuko had it in her blood. That's why demons get burned in her blood and why she could stand without drinking blood and still control herself in some way. This is also the reason she was able to walk in the sun.
