2 more episodes to go :/

40 luck

Did anyone else notice at least 3 mimic chest in that room 😆

Barry

This was incredible.

One of the little twists I liked about this episode was Frieren and Fern’s plan included Frieren being the threat to the replica while Fern goes in for the sneak kill but it ended up being Fern who the replica saw as a threat, with Frieren coming in for the sneak kill. Amazing visuals too

John Spartan

"Because I underestimate you". I think is simple, as good as Fern is, I don't think Frieren has ever thought that she can best her in combat, at least not yet. But Fern expressing confidence in taking Frieren down helps first of all, with Fern's visualization. And Frieren's remark is just like a "you go girl, if you think you can defeat me, then you can, because my clone will underestimate you too".

On a tech level, the reason Sense didn’t fear for them having to face her, was due to knowing for certain that someone who ‘could’ take her replica out was among them. Like a werewolf being comforted that someone has silver bullets and can be trusted to use them if need be, but, y’know, magic. . And ‘ignorance’ is a decent way to put Ubel’s ability, actually. She can ignore the rational understanding that “that’s magic” for things that aren’t, on the basic level, magic. Cloth is cloth, hair is hair, flesh is flesh. Defensive magic, meanwhile, is magic, -specifically- for the purpose of blocking attacks/spells, so Ubel understands it as an appropriate blocker. . Lawinne and Richter got snuck by the 1 of 3 that was considered dangerous enough to seek out. It tracks, but also, circles back to Flamme’s demon-opposition strat for Frieren; stay unknown, take potshots in the dark. Mage assassins are nasty. . “Luck is a skill,” as Genau claimed.

Two of my favorite moments that I thought were cold af is when Frieren’s clone used the old Zoltraak (22:02) on Frieren! Compare Qual’s to clone Frieren’s and you’d see the similarities. The other one is when clone Frieren also used some type of magic to throw back and damn near crush Fern (22:47). Hearing Frieren say that it’s been 80 years since she was forced to use that one must be what helped kill the demon king or one of his 7 mages.

You know what is really amazing? the ending MV is freaking stop motion. One of the guys who worked on it uploaded a view of it on twitter https://x.com/Nslwv3wF4xjE0ng/status/1763580638496715022?s=20

21:49__Frieren(s) throwing solar systems at each other is crazy

Upon closer examination, I have to side with director on the discussion at the end. Not necessarily the on her knees part, but I do believe the Fern clone was being held by one of the restraining abilities of the other woman. If you're watching closely when she was walking down the steps, her eyes move, her face doesn't move, but her eyes do. She was able to sense the attack from the Fern clone and at the point was able to either dodge it or block it. I'm going to assume the blasts against the wall that we later see was possibly from that initial attack that missed her, which then forced the Fern clone down from the rafters but by that point it was too late and she was caught by the other woman. If I had to hazard a guess, I would assume it was done by her hypnosis ability? In any case, that's why I side with director.

Was this the finale? It ended kinda strange to me. Well, can't wait until next season. Loved the journey!

Nancchi

No. Should be two more eps. They need to go through one more test.

BarGamer

The link is not porn, it really is a few photos of the stop motion.

BarGamer

I saw this Reddit post that expanded on the rock-paper-scissors metaphor, where Richter was Rock, that was snuck by Sense the Paper, who was beaten by Ubel the Scissors.

25:20 The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic?

BarGamer

I wanna think that Sense blocked the way to the biggest Mimic in the room, that could completely swallow a shorty like Frieren. Not that Sense with drill-tails wouldn't be cute...

Xsardes

The GOLDEN mimic this time xD At this point I'm supriced she haven't adapted by Dark Souls strategy - stab every chest before opening it

Xsardes

At this point I would just stab every chest in a room before opening them...just like in Dark Souls. PS. If the big one is a mimic too I'm gona lose my mind xD

Xsardes

Frieren going all out have some Ainz-sama tier spells in the back pocket...I mean at one point I'm pretty sure they threw fucking Solar Systems at each other, thats leagues above anything else we had seen so far.

Florin

She fell for at least 2 more mimics before that one, you can see them in the background xD

Florin

The anime added injuries to Methode for some reason, if you check the manga panel she didn't have a single scratch. Likely due to her restraining Fern, as you wrote

godUsoland

Methode is a beast! She fought Clone Fern for at least a solid while and might have even killed her. Plus she has great senses, can Heal, and has Ara Ara energy. Sein truly missed out

Daniel Borrego

i got the impression that method captured her clone by the way it dissapeared directly infront of her.

Daniel Borrego

to be fair fern did blow off both her clones arms. if it was meat frieren she probably wouldnt have been able to pull off the almighty push at the end.

godUsoland

22:48 Clone Frieren hit Fern with the Lightskin stare! :D

Ash

This was a fire episode! The only thing that was weird was how last episode made it seem like Fern beat copy Frieren in one shot but then you see the rest of the fight in this episode. I think they should of showed the copy Frieren blocking Fern's first shot at the beginning because I was confused like you all and had to rewatch the end and the beginning of these two episodes to figure out what was going on.

L.C.

This episode is one big explanation as to why no one is this series is a mob character lol

BarGamer

The kind that guards their dungeon with a Mirror demon.

Skebaba

Of course she sounds like a child, she's Anya after all
