Change is Coming! (Patreon)

As you all remember there were vote results and positive discussions back in this post.  Well....It's time!!!

When: Start of December

What: I'll explain in detail below, but to summarize:

• Comic Focus is changing
• Art Schedule is changing
• Patreon Tiers are changing 
• Side Comic Patreon is going away
• Male x Male Patreon will transition over to the side comic Patreon (I'll explain)

Before we dive into it, there are no changes to the monthly picture.

Now, let's take this in chunks:

Comic Focus Change

Instead of juggling multiple stories I'm going to tell ONE story at a time.  They won't be side comics anymore, just comics.  

The comics will be broken up into issues like printed comics, because I'm working towards that.  I'm going to target 30ish pages per issue.  Each comic will be adult focused and by that I mean yes, porn.  But I'll also be telling stories, both short term and long term.

The stories will revolve, but right now I have two playgrounds: Skylords and Druids.  Right now, Far From The Tree is the active story, I'll finish that to the end.  By then I should have the next story planned out.  I may or may not leave it up to a vote.

I -THINK- I'm going to continue to release the comic to the public after six months (or three or when I remember).  That may change, but right now we'll keep it the same.

Lots of other comics out there use this model, just going to copy them.

Art Schedule Change

To be honest, I'm struggling with the month schedule.  So I'm going to try to get back into more 'scheduled art'.  Now, understandably, nothing is perfect in my house with three kids.  Especially since everyone had the flu last week and it's just been a house of coughing.  So until the almost 3 year old gets a job, my life is difficult to plan.

Excuses aside: I am going to return to the weekly schedule.  I think it keeps people more gripped and allows folks to look forward to the art.  I'm not sure what day I will target for, but it will probably be Mondays.  The pages will be released through Patreon - I'm not going to build out another site for this.  It's not worth the effort.

That all being said, the schedule will be tremulous.  I guarantee 4 pages a month and I'm going to shoot for a weekly schedule.

To Summarize: new pages on Mondays, minimum of 4 pages a month.

Patreon Tier Change

Now, for the meat of the change - the goal is SIMPLICITY:

$5 - Monthly Picture and Low Resolution Comic Pages 

$10 - Monthly Picture, Voting Rights, Any One Previous Monthly Picture, and High Resolution Comic Pages 

$15 - Monthly Picture, Voting Rights, Any Two Previous Monthly Picture, and High Resolution Comic Pages, WIP Sneak Peeks (will shoot for one week prior to comic page release), any additional Side Art (MxM pictures)

Now, I do recognize this will probably lose me money (hopefully in the short term) since I'm making the lower tiers more appealing.  But I'm hoping to rope in more people.  So tell your friends!  Also, it aligns more with what other artists are doing and frankly makes sense.  

The 1 and 2 dollar tiers are going away because collectively they amounted to 10 dollars a month.  Not worth the extra management on our part.  I also couldn't justify a higher tier.  

To Summarize: Reducing to three tiers, lower tiers are getting much better.

Side Comic Patreon is turning into MxM Patreon

I'm no longer going to be doing the 'pay for page' Patreon for the side comic.  Everything will be run on the monthly Patreon.  It will make things easier for all of us.  Nothing really to be said about that.

Now, the Male x Male moving over to the Side Patreon is silly, let me explain.  My two Patreon accounts: Side Comic and Main, are part of the 'Founder' group or whatever Patreon calls it.  My fees are SLIGHTLY less.  When I made the Male x Male Patreon the fees were higher.  

So I'm actually going to be removing the Male x Male Patreon and turning my side comic Patreon into the Male x Male per release Patreon.  I'm going to do that after these last two pages are released - so the beginning of December.  It's dumb, but whatever.

For Male x Male Art - It's going to transition to 'when / if' I have some free time and will also be driven by demand.  So the more 15 USD supporters and MxM supporters I have will drive whether I prioritize it or not.  No Pressure.  But I'll be honest, it's difficult to add art to my plate, I don't even really get to draw what I want to draw much anymore.  

To Summarize: Male x Male Patreon will be deleted.  Side comic Patreon is turning into Male x Male Patreon.  Male x Male art will still be up in the air schedule wise.

Conclusion

I....I think that's it.  I really want to thank everyone who participated in the surveys and have helped me shape where I'm going.  I really want to do what's best for me, but more importantly, I provide content that you guys want to see and are excited for.  I know my numbers have dropped recently and I get it.  I'd like to build back up my fanbase again =).
