Ok, it never gets explained but Spoiler just in case: -Toji was brought back with the Zenin name instead of Fushiguro because that’s when he was at his strongest (In his prime). -The Toji that Gojo and Geto fought was extremely rusty and past his prime. Hence, there were lines Toji said that hinted towards him being out of shape “I was hoping to take you out with that attack, I guess I’m rusty” after stabbing Gojo he also said “I’m remembering how to do this” after he beat Gojo -Toji grew rusty because he mellowed out after he met Megumi’s mom and when Megumi was born but went back to his old life after she died. -Basically, a rusty, out of his prime Toji beat Gojo (With prep) and Geto (straight up). -Long story short, Toji’s a beast

The thing people end up forgetting about that Gojo flashback is something Gojo himself mentioned before the Exchange event to the old principal of the Kyoto School. Something in the world was changing and creating these powerful anomalies (Todo, Yuta, Yuji/Sukuna, the Disaster Curses, probably Maki, Megumi, and others as well) and it only started with Gojo. It's not just about Gojo being born powerful, there's definitely some greater force moving things along to balance a world where Gojo exists.

It's a cool episode. I just regret that the animation style for the fight with Yuji and Megumi wasn't the best choice. It's not like an important fight in the story ir anything, but that scene with the car-throwing should have left way more impact than that.

By the time of this arc Gojo is only in his late 20s like 28 or 29 if I did the math right cause it takes place in 2018. that's still pretty young for some people to want kids. Also he's not the only one in the Gojo clan he's just the most prominent member. And also cursed techniques don't always pass down from parent to kid, it's like how some people "Twins skip a generation or 2 in my family" thing. Gojo is a prime example cause the Limitless Technique and the Six Eyes doesn't always go to the same kid born, the reason why is Spoilers, but that's why Gojo is so damn powerful cause he's the first of his clan in a long time to get both at once.

You'd be correct. This is a smaller fight in this arc and has a lot of inner monologues, hence the use of lots of slowmo. The choreography was pretty much the same as the manga for the Yuji and Megumi sections.

I have a theory on how he still recognizes his son. They used his younger body, but when that body's soul later overrides the grandson's soul, wouldn't it be the soul of post-death Toji? Its the younger version of the body but if that body brings back his soul from the afterlife it makes sense it would be him from after he died
