It very fair to complaint it usage was very unnecessary and even tho the story board was lacking it completely butchered an other wise decent cut that an ka spent time on. The best solution is definitely at-least giving viewers an options on streaming services and not just only releasing the tv bro casted version. And with how poorly it was done it made the scene more flashy that it needed to be arguable making the potential complications worse

Yeah this plan by geto is really big brain cause not only can he not use his techniques but his overall physical stats are reduced cause he'd just end up crashing into people and killing them. Gojo doesn't even like to kill ants. Last season there was an episode where you literally see him activating his infinity when he was walking on a specific spot. He used it just to protect a bunch of ants he didn't want to kill. If he can help it, he will protect them. It's in his nature. If you push him past the limit, he'll do what's needed.

They wont kill all the hostages nor will they force Gojo to the point where he will use all his powers. @Danny they're definitely there just to hold him off until Geto pulls off whatever he needs to do but from Gojo's perspective he doesn't know what they're fully doing so for all he knows he might think they'll use the hostages to prevent him from using his full power, try to beat him, and then kill the hostages after. I was joking with my first comment but I was basically saying if they're going to die anyways Gojo might as well use his full power to prevent less casualties if he was to get beaten somehow.

I think you are overplaying it a bit tbh. I do agree this fight wasn't great, probably one of my lowest in JJK anime so far, but it was also the least important fight in the arc (and the animators had mentioned how the Grasshopper was very challenging to animate) so of course it got kinda skimped on. But I do think that fight will be the low of the season, I am pretty confident that the major fights like next week will be just as good as we expect

I'm honestly glad they got the grasshopper fight out of the way it's easily the weakest fight in the arc and maybe even the series but I can't lie I woke up hype to see some Gojo action just to get trolled by Mappa (in the manga they were switching between Gojo's fight and the grasshopper fight but they decided to completely adapt the grasshopper fight and leave Gojo's fight for next episode) but next episode is going to be nothing but gas y'all about to see a side of Gojo y'all have not seen before

This season has generally been a way better production wis. Especially in the compositing department (outside the ghosting and dimming), and has just as good animation. For example Mechamaru vs. Mahito was an atleast top 2 if the best-produced fight to come out of this series . Dimming and ghosting resulting from the time slot change really hold’s it back. Even under the same direction as Season 1, MAPPA would likely still have to deal with these issues, probably even worse due to how flashy and refined the original art style was . But generally, Season 1 had way worse issues that weren’t due to tv regulations . Especially in the compositing department with completely ruining layouts, terrible backgrounds, poor digital effects, etc all resulting form the poor scheduling of s1. Gosso’s direction has also been a gift this season. Sunghoo Park’s action direction will always be missed, but this season will undoubtedly be better produced overall.

I really really liked this episode and it felt like there were some crazy easter eggs and homages to other shows and things in here. The art style to me is really nice and closer to the original style of the manga. Also I think mappa might be testing some techniques and animation possibilities for the upcoming "One Punch Man Season 3" that they are also doing. Overall it was a great episode and a really nice reaction :))

Personally didn't find the grasshopper fight that hype, I feel like we've seen the punch barrage fight in just about every fighting anime out there. Not saying that it wasn't well animated but I deffs didn't feel like they were snappin considering how well we know the fights are choreographed in all the previous eps.
