So apparently you guys missed teh bit way back in episode 1, when Wolbach blew up the demon, she called it her other half. That's what turned into Chomsuke, so its HALF of Wolbach. Also, they hinted at the connection in the end of S2, with the hot spring arc. And for Lupa wondering if they'll circle back to her, yes she DOES show up again but i doubt itll be till season 4 at the earliest.

So Devil/demons like Vanrir, Arnes, and Host don't really die when they are killed. They return to Hell where they can be summoned again. Vanrir is also a Duke of Hell, so he's even more powerful than Host or Arnes (who are both greater demons). Vanrir has multiple lives and it's why he didn't return to Hell when he was destroyed in season 2. So don't be too upset that Megumin killed some demons. For them, death is an inconvenience for sure, but it is not the end.

As we ALL know, and it goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway), everything Wiz sells is useless or a double-edged sword in some way. No aoe should affect the user, that just makes it un-usable. Wiz's fault for having that and selling it to start with. Yunyun was just ignorant and had no idea about Wiz's tendencies.
