For those interested in reading along with the original Hell’s Paradise manga, this episode 11 adapted the last page of chapter 30, all of chapters 31-34, and then a little more than half of chapter 35, adapting only the beginning and end parts of the chapter. This season will likely adapt up to around chapters 43-44 (i.e. 70%-80% of tankōbon volume 5).

Damn I was going to see if y'all got what the blonde dude meant when he said "only one thing doesn't need to change" it was his brother, that is why in the flashback when the bandits said "lets start with his little brother, he stepped up and poked his own eye out. The little brother is still dignified like a person of noble birth because they used to be Samurai but politics got their family killed and the big brother wants to protect the little bro by doing the harder stuff himself.

I haven't read the manga but since plants, namely flowers have male and female replantuctive organs it makes sense that they're the main motif for the Tensen. Idk if that's why the author chose to focus on them but if that's why that's such a cool and subtle idea

As they were explaining Mei's whole reason for existing I was thinking "Yeah, Gabimaru is going to end you." I didn't expect him to develop Tao like that though.

In case y'all missed it, in the flashback where Mei got her scar she was a full-grown adult, so you can put the "she's the child of two tensen" theory to rest. It also makes what they had planned for her back then (the "training") *slightly* less disgusting, because she wasn't in child form back then. Still vile though.

I think the mei girl has like 3 forms kinda like groot. Child, teenage and adult. In the flashback of her getting banished she looked more adult like than right now. At least to me

I think with tao being a contradiction, weak and strong, it makes sense that anti heroes are thriving while the super strong Tensen are feeling threatened.

Tao is literally yin & yang, which is all about balance between opposites. Light and dark, weak and strong, etc.

Idk if you noticed, but Mei was originally older (at least in her appearance) when she was still at the palace. So something about the banishment, or leaving Horai, or both, probably caused her to shrink.

Would make sense if she needs to conserve Tan and the child form that can't speak very well or do much requires the least amount of energy to maintain. Or maybe they loaded her up with Tan before banishing her so that she wouldn't die during her exile. If losing Tan makes them age, getting too much might make them regress to being very young, and she goes to the young adult form after expending some energy to save Gabimaru. Maybe they loaded her up with so much Tan she became a baby, and Groot found her and took care of her until she started to gradually age from Tan loss. not that deep probably but you already know the adderall kicked in so it's time to write essays
