Jon

Not Roshi and Sheera straight up gaslighting my boi Lupa lmaooooo

Steve

she got older and grew, yall clapped yourselves man,

Earphone Jack

Lupa is correct, Mei grew. Gabimaru literally said she was a young girl until a moment ago.

Freeofgreed

We'll we don't know if his master isn't a plant nigga or not.

DANIEL PEREZ

the blond and black twins since they eat the people that become the elixir in the hole, they might actually immortal or near immortal.

Edd R

That big ass baby was using tao also that's y he was tough to kill

Totally Thomas

To clear up Sheera's confusion. All living things are made of Tao. Humans possess the most natural Tao; thus the best ingredient for the elixir. When humans die on the island, their Tao is converted to Tan; the special flower needed to make the Elixir of Life. The Tensen are born straight out of Tan (Tan being flowers, and flowers Bi-Sexual: Male AND female; thus why they can change genders). Since they are made of Tan, they need to keep making it from humans to stay alive. I won't talk about what if a human consumes tan cause that's spoiler territory.

Davon Thomas

They really don't notice the little tiny girl that was knee level is literally eye to eye with gabimaru?

ok

Everyone needs to go check Roshi’s Twitter for a good laugh 😭 LUPASAN DEVIOUS

Jayden Holder

I would be immortal even if the side effect is I'm a plant but don't look like a plant, nothing disgust about it

Jay Oliver

The twitter post was the reason how I found out this reaction dropped 😂

Jigga Man

13:00 my god I was not readyyyy

SuperSickMedia

"She didn't grow". Why say this unprovoked!? lol ;D

zanderbander

i like how the tensen all have the same voice actors/actresses since they originate from the same person

Chimera134

The Twitter Clapping was Hilarious. MY GUY Lupa! Also is there a chance we will get a Spiderverse reaction if you guys haven't seen it already?

Andrew W

I'm enjoying this approach of explaining the 'magic' system of the universe through various cultural / spiritual beliefs being presented as interpretations of the supernatural element. And holy shit, Sheera was on her game at the end there -- I was as lost as the guys at first, but once I caught up and realized she was saying the Tensen's elixir might be a shoddy knockoff version of a different, real immortality juice that's out there, I think she got me convinced. EDIT: Just saw that tweet about this episode LMFAO!

Darren Banks

lol she totally grew but y'all were too busy being Jamaican to read 😂

Bautista

The use of Tao kinda reminds me of how Mahito manipulated the shape of the soul in JJK. Like how attacks that dont hit the Tao can just be regened since the Tao is intact, and just like how when Mahito hit the shape of ones soul it couldnt be healed, just like Tao.

CAM

Nah lupa letting y’all get clapped is hilarious, bro was plotting 🤣🤣

Codymojo856

also remember when Sagiri was fighting the giant baby and she was saying that she needed to balance herself and genji said it was the middle way, and then she was fuckin shit up.

NecDW4

Roshi about killed me with the Captain Planet! "TREEEEES! YOURE ALL TREEEES!"

NecDW4

Clappening aside, Sheera hit on something kinda nice this episode.

Drake Rage

The end discussion was hilarious, I was laughing my ass off with the Elixir stuff, but Sheera did make a good point at the end about the difference between these immortal Tensen that have bodies made up of plants/flowers and Gabimaru's Master also being immortal that seemed completely human.

Cameron Eldridge

there is NO WAY yall didn't notice her grow LMAO

kodai

im not interested in your bomboclat goals

Candy

Not Roshi and sheers clapping them selves saying that she don’t grow when the episode pointed out she did 😂

ok

Roshi talkin bout Anaak just got me excited for ToG s2 😂

Bighusky

There’s a lot of exposition in this series I’d suggest not trying to crack jokes every 10 seconds so you don’t miss simple things like Mei getting taller and you clapping yourself because y’all weren’t paying attention 😂

Mad4Life

Good on Lupa on letting Roshi and Sheera clap themselves. They be getting too uppity sometimes.

Nabi

they were distracted lol, Gabimaru literally said that she grew, even Lupa catched that

SeriouslyJet

Lupa with his Hood haki, though like shanks its AOE. Just ask Captain kidd and the gang (⌐■_■)

Marko

Reminded me of last episode of Heavenly Delusion, Sheera and Roshi were having a contest to see who could predict better and both were getting clapped back to back

yaboyroshi

lol idk what you mean by uppity and also we enjoy heavenly delusion so try to piece things together, thats the point. I mean we can just skip that end discussion altogether and go straight to the outro if yall want

Lijnaito2021 !

Actually, now that I think about it, you might be right when you blacks out because remember when an episode 4 sigiri is about to be attacked from behind by that monster and he's saying focus on this monster. But his wife is telling him it's okay to help others any blacks out. But as he's blacking out, you see the figure behind her as a white silhouette

Jason Yung

Oh Sherra the elixir i think just gives you regeneration. I think the tense have that and just happen to be plants as well.

Anonymous

So we not go talk about how he healed back so fast

YuP

Fun fact, Chobei's tao disturbance was located in the area of his right eye because his blind on this side

DreAKAWolves

13:05 Put Lupa's face on a shirt lmfao

JO.10473_

"Fucking yourself? Wrong" - Lupa 2023

The Anime Dude

I may be in the minority, but: I don’t mind y’all clapping yourselves on occasion, the jokes be funny & we all miss stuff sometimes- would rather you enjoy it & predict / try to piece stuff together to your heart’s content without worrying whether you’ll get clapped for not getting everything perfect right away. More so typing this for other people in the comments than y’all, but still… I enjoy the discussions you guys have, and that goes for all shows. 😂

matt B

It is definitely part of the fun on this channel

john

@YaBoyRoshi please dont i enjoy end discussion

JsnSkg

No, she DID grow. *facepalms* She clearly did. They literally said she did, they literally pointed it out, and showed the difference between before and now. Why would they go through all that if nothing happened? Lmao.

JsnSkg

That's all well and good, but sometimes I feel like common sense and very clear visual and/or audio cues just go way over their heads. XD

JayJay

Sheera I'm pretty sure from what we know the one nigga that the Tensen are, they said hes mastered tao-(correct me if im wrong) so I'm sure that has something to do with why they have to keep drinking the elixir and why they are plants. Because Gabimarus master was infinitly immortal and I don't think had to keep drinking it. But theres only 1 Elixir not 2 diff ones that give you different abilities

Anonymous

With the amount of shows they watch, I wouldn't be surprised tbh. I watch 1 or 2 shows a week and I miss a LOT of stuff until I read some comments from others. lmao

LeilaD

It’s really starting to seem like they need to consume them just like they’re consuming humans in order to have immortality. Because that’s the second time I’ve noticed I like a hint of consumption needs to happen. The Tensen power comes from drinking human essence essentially, so why not in reverse.

by chances

Sheeragan at the end lol

2023-07-10 06:06:51 Somebody probably already explained this better than I will somewhere above, but I'll try to explain the Tao stuff. I remember some of it from a philosophy course I took. I'm already super late to this episode so you guys probably won't even see this, but maybe somebody will. Also anybody feel free to correct what I misremember or add on. The Tao is a real-world concept from the ancient Chinese Taoist/Daoist religion. The Tao/Dao, is basically as they explain in the show, being the original energy or essence of everything/the universe. It makes up everything, and everything is made of it. It flows through everything. It seems a bit vague and mysterious- this would be accurate, because Taoism believes that existence itself, the "Tao," is mysterious and hard to define with words. Paraphrasing a bit, the primary belief of Taoism is that you can reach a state near the Tao by obtaining balance. Enlightenment, in a way where you become one with everything. This is expressed in many ways, most commonly freeing yourself from stress and complexity, and enjoying the simplicity of life. But there are many things that can bring balance. The concepts of Yin and Yang come into play at that point, opposing forces that live within each other. They flow between each other freely. At this point, all of this should sound extremely similar to the dialogue in the episode. Which is basically what they were trying to drive home, that's why everyone was stuck on repeat about body and mind, weak and strong, male and female. It's Yin and Yang. Mei was saying the same thing that Hoko and Shion were, the Tao is all about the balance of these opposing forces, trying to obtain a state of neutrality where you are one with everything around you. That is "touching the Tao" in this show. The primary difference obviously being Tao in Taoism gives you spiritual enlightenment, while Tao in Hell's Paradise lets you shoot lasers and kill immortal people and shit.
