I don't think it's an obsession since kdramas have been popular for a long time and are becoming more accessible to a wider audience (people no longer have to only watch them on shady websites lol). Just them watching non-american/non-english shows which they seem to really be enjoying.

Multiverse! I was watching Attorney Woo and saw quite a few folks from The Glory! The guy who played the teacher with that terrible hair cut was in there still being a dick, the lady who played Sa-ra, the lady that played the Shaman, the daughter of Park with her cute little self, the young chick who got smart with Park & worked at the news station, and Moon's homeroom teacher too. I was like wait...I know him...I know her! 🤣 Definitely the multiverse!

one problem im having with this show is connecting with the main character. im not seeing her personality. everything is "train, revenge, im a cop". i dont see her laugh, make jokes, have aspirations for her life. what does she like to eat? does she have a special skill like dancing? has she ever been in love? there is like nothing there. and she often is shown very stoic and withdrawn. outside of her fighting skills she has no interest for me. character wise (and its all about character to me) im focused on mujin. he fascinates me. want to see him with ms. kang more and explore their relationship, the running of the businesses, all of that. give me korean power lol

I don't know why you expect any of this, when almost all kdramas featuring female leads who want revenge this is their personality. They completely shut off their emotion in order to stay on the path of revenge. Having the dark objective to murder someone will do that to you. I honestly don't know what you expected tbh. Especially since most people who lead lives in spaces like that do not show emotion or they find ways to walk around numb. She was a minor when the first story began, wym has she ever been in love. Where is the time for love, and dancing, and hobbies? Clearly she has more important things to worry about. I thought she made it very clear in the series multiple times that her life was over when she saw her father was murdered, and she won't rest until she gets revenge. I just don't see where laughing and eating would ever pop up in a show with the atmosphere this dark and depressing. This comment kind of sounds like a Disney channel telling of crime. I don't think I've ever read something so unrealistic, especially as someone who studies the psychology of criminals and revenge cases lol. I have no idea why you would even continue a show like this after watching the first episode and seeing how numb she was

Like it was obvious the gun was from the police because of how hard it is to get guns outside of being a cop or active military. And the "reason" the police didn't find the gun is because the gangsters took it from the scene first
