His brother is definitely not a realist. At best he catastrophises and passes it off as logical. Notice the extremes he talks in like how the herbs would not have helped his mother in her state ( he doesn't know that for sure and let's be real the smallest chance to save the people we love we will take) and how him and Muichiro are destined to die like dogs. I guess in a sense those outcomes are realistic but shutting down every positive solution is defeatist. Also Muichiro isn't optimistic either, he's just somewhat nieve.

So they definitely did some rearrangement with the dialogue this episode. His brother’s speech actually happened when he got his mark in the manga. They split it up and moved part of it to the ending fight for more impact. I really like what they did this episode, it was so good! I’m excited for the next episode 😆

You might recall that when both Tanjiro and Zenitsu were on the brink of death in season 1 vs the spider demons, they had flashbacks. The insect breathing Hashira mentioned that it was a survival tactic. They are searching through their memories to looks for something to help them survive. And going along with the theme, Muichiro also had his memories flash before his eyes while on the brink of death.

I don't know, sure its good to be realistic but it's not like Yuichiro being hard on Muichiro was even a good thing. It can come from a place of love but at the cost of fracturing the relationship with your loved one? It seems that if he felt comfortable with being open and honest with his brother they wouldn't have lost so much time to become close with one another since they didn't talk for a long time. That was just what felt really tragic to me. Muichiro being shocked that his brother loves and cares for him in his dying breath.

Just to clarify: exhaled breathe is about 78% Nitrogen, 17% oxygen, 4% CO2, and 1% other gases. Regular air is 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 1% other gases, and 0.004% CO2. So, it's not that far fetched that Kotetsu was able to send Muichiro some O2, since total concentration breathing lets you maximize your use of air.

I don’t think the Yurichiro at the end was anything but the actual Yurichiro’s spirit talking about Muichiro. We seen that spirits exist and that can see what is going on in the real world to degree (maybe only when people are about to die) so I think was Yurichiro checking in on bro after he had his patented near death flashback to give protag power. I don’t think it had to with Murichiro having two personalities.

It was already revealed. Muichiro y descendant if Yorichi, while Tanjiro is not related to him. In some other comment, someone said that yorichi and tanjiro's family might have been close friends. It is quite possible. Tanjiro's family were taught the sun breathing by Yorichi.

Although I get what he's saying, you're right. That's for the extreme cases, usually the body builds up its temperature until the problem or "foreign agent" that's making you sick burns out. But if it's a tough thing to kill, and your body keeps the temperature up (either for more then 2-3 days or if the temperature itself gets too high ) then immediate medical attention is a must.
