Made sense why this was a separate movie, wouldnt have meshed well in a season. Curious to see where we go from here!

finally they get together. now next season you will most likely see ishigamis story of what happened on christmas hopefully next year it gets announced

But yeah, next season we will see what happened at the other party, which honestly I find more interesting than Kaguya and Shirogane's story. The side crew will def have plenty of time to shine in the next season and its for the better that they knocked out this party of the story so it did not undercut theirs.

I don't follow many rom-coms, but of the shows that I have watched, Kaguya-sama is definitely my favorite. I think it's technically a slice-of-life, but Horimiya is another good series. The Duke of Death and His Maid is pretty great too, but a lot of people are unwilling to look past the anime's lackluster CGI visuals. At the moment, those are my top 3. I'm hoping to branch out into other rom-coms, as I'm going through Kaguya-sama withdrawal, so if anyone has suggestions, I'd appreciate it. 🙏

the other party incident was definitely more interesting but the kaguya and president part of the story was probably the important and pivotal part of the entire series as it gave both of them tons of character developement. I am looking forward to kaguya and president being a side couple and ishigami being the main character for a while. Nice change of pace

I think they’re just rearranging Ishigami’s plot for the next season. They probably didn’t want the movie to feel too cluttered. They can’t really skip it because of how important it is.

Ishigami’s storyline will definitely be in the next season, it’s too important to skip over. I’m sure they just cut it from the movie to keep it Shirogane and Kaguya related.

Ishigamis story never got cut in the manga it was shown afterwards aswell it’s just that the movie only aimed to focus on the kaguya and shirogane chapters episode 1 next season should immediately go into what happened

The two kids who were in the hotel room "getting ready to smash" as Roshi put it... were the BF/GF since season 1, and we just learned the boy was the grandson of that "quack" doctor, who got a girl pregnant at 17, whose son got a girl pregnant at 17, and now he's worried because his grandson just turned 17.... ho boy.

Ishigami's story would be adapted in next season (whenever that's announced). Overall, I'm happy you guys had fun with Kaguya. It's one of my favorite anime romcoms

I thought it was a normal train of thoughts from the situation to see that as tsubame, but when they start pulling out the clothes, eyes, hair, who's present at the party and summed it up as ino... damn I didn't even thought that was possible. If you want comedy over romance, try Grand Blue, it's one of the few series that can rival Kaguya in terms of comedy. If you want more romance, if you're fine with reading manga, Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku is fantastic (no official translations yet, but there are some great scanlations out there) and Dandadan is also hilarious (weird as hell, but still hilarious) but if you want anime only try Spice and Wolf (slower than Kaguya, but similar level of romance), Komi can't Communicate (wholesome), Call of the Night (very chill, is technically vampire romance but it's not cringe), or My Level-999 Love for Yamada-Kun (currently airing right now), they're all great series

Dude has braindead takes usually but yeah "Fine" and "Understood" are very different in this context. "Fine" feels like he's begrudgingly accepting it. "Understood" feels more like he's being jokingly formal.

The conclusion that Kaguya is always the one putting herself out there and getting them to the next step is wild to me lol. I would argue that this was literally the first episode where she has genuinely put herself out there and took some risk (granted, already after she 100% knew she'd get the yes, but still it was needed).
