Surprised Roshi didn't mention Bakugo calling Deku by his actual name Izuku for the first time. Was hoping the anime made it as obvious as the Manga but that's just a nitpick.

Since they found out that Deku was quirkless, Bakugo has only referred to Midoriya as "Deku." Iida's line about "taking a lost child by the hand" has been cooking for a LONG time lmao Waaaaay back in the Stain fight, he has a flashback of asking his brother Tensei (OG Ingenium, who Stain crippled/almost killed and Iida was trying to avenge) why he wanted to be a Hero. Tensei answers that he always thought the coolest people were the ones who could take a lost child by the hand and lead them to safety. ~8 year old Iida misses the point and says something like "??why don't you work at a lost child center then??" and Tensei does the "lol you're just a kid right now but you'll get what I mean some day" thing. In the Stain fight, that flashback forms the backbone of Iida's resolve to live up to his brother's name as the new Ingenium and focus on rescue above all else. In this episode, Iida grabs the hand of probably the most difficult child to catch the hand of in the whole damn world

Bro this episodes is up there as one of the best episodes of the series tbh. They could not have done it more justice. They made it even better than the manga imo. The ost and voice acting were peak fiction. I remember reading this in the manga and feeling so touched by bakugou's apology. Amazing. 12/10 fr.

Yeah, I had my issues last two seasons. I honestly felt season 2 was the strongest season overall, but this season has me feeling nostalgic for some reason 😆. I feel like I started this so long ago, and now to see everything aging up is kinda strange, but in a good way. I never thought THIS is where the story would have ended up way back when I read ahead for season 4 lol. Reading ahead is the main reason I felt thepast 2 seasons were weak, so I'm glad being anime-only for this season has restored a lot of my love forthe anime. These characters are great, the story is finally coming to an end (assuming) and while I'm sad there won't be a My Hero Shippuden type deal, I look forward to whatever Hirokoshi does next!

yeah cause if he was dumb and bully I would half understand but he is smart enough to know he was wrong alon when the league went after him and everyone else tried to protect him he ignore them and allowed his micro pride to allow the villains to win and let to almight retire for good. same with ingenium he allows hate and pride to almost dying and deku getting hurt. but bakugou hast let go of that pride to be number 1, also like he said even after being in UA nothing went for him yet it took deku almost dying and him too almost dying to realize he was wrong. the only way for me to see he actually has changed is that after this in the epilogue he does not go for the top 10 or 1 spot he becomes a underground hero like eraserhead.

Great episode but i feel it also shows a problem this show has... Most of Deku's friends had to go back to shit that happened in season 2 or something just to have a "meaningfull" flashback. Hey Jiro had to go back to the only actual interaction they had. You could easily cut out half of this class and the show would still be the same. Not a fan of dark-edgy loner Deku cuzz he's acting like a goddamned imbecile. Still cool to see how they all came together to collectively kick his ass.

yep its one of the reasons i stopped caring about the series. no one outside of a few got any actual character development. also due to the fact that the idiots in power chose not to kill the biggest enemy of the world for no reason is stupid. it caused a psudo apocalypse. someone should have cut his head off the second all might knocked him out in season 3. hell mince him into tiny pieces. one of the biggest flaws in hero shows is not ending the big enemy and forcing avoidable situations.

Because if anyone remembers oh, all might did the same thing when he was trying to clean up society and that’s how they had this peaceful society for so many years with all might was doing literally the same thing. His art of being edgy, and a loner is literally him following in the steps of his predecessor, who did not fully prepare him for having multiple quirks because he had not had access to multiple corks. We literally see this is a thing that happens because all for one and all might have the same arc in all Mike’s heyday so the fact that people are like I don’t like is lonely, dark era that is literally how most superheroes who get an immense amount of power go through superman had it all might had it Spider-Man had it. No, there's logic behind what Deku was doing, but he just got carried away and obsessive. This was partly due to AFO constantly using his pawns to wear Deku down (constantly making them do crimes in nearby areas to run him ragged). AFO anticipated this move and then played his hand accordingly to force Deku to break down.
