The episode was fantastic! I loved every minute of it! It actually made me cry and I wasn’t even expecting to cry lol. I didn’t even cry when the manga chapters came out (or at least I don’t think I did lol). But here I am, crying like vestige All Might and Nana were. 🥺 10/10 episode! Also, a new PV was released for this arc. I just wanted to let y’all know in case y’all wanted to watch it on your own time.

It's understated, but very telling and kind of nuts that All Might and Hawks meet for the FIRST TIME in this episode. Hawks has been in the top 10 for 5 years now, was the first to break into them as a teenager, and was All Might's #3 by the time he retired, but they've never had so much as a photo shoot together. Really shows how separate from each other Heroes have been

Also all might didn't know about the quirkless stuff with one for all and its multiple quirks until way after he had given it to Deku. That reveal had nothing to do with the reasoning behind all might giving it to deku. All might saw himself in Deku partially due to him being quirkless but all might never knew anything about the powers not being able to be handled unless you are quirkless.

All Might didn't pick Deku because he was quirkless that was just a coincidence. None of the user knew the reason until All Might started doing research and looking at autopsy reports back when Deku first got blackwhip. He saw that the one who lived the longest besides him died of old age at 40 and only had OFA for 18 years. But currently All Might is like 50 something years old and had OFA since he was a teen, so they were like he's had it twice as long and is older so whats difference between him and us? Oh he's quirkless that must be why. Also he didn't give the quirk to Miro because he met Deku first remember plus he thought Deku was more fitting that was the whole reason All Might and Nighteye didn't get along remember.

This sort of thing.... I think isn't really about whether or not he's "redeemable", rather, it's about the redeption of heroism itself. The truest heroes are the ones who can save the day and never have to claim a life or take more than their fair share from society and give back as much as they can. Symbolically speaking, Deku is the greatest Hero simply because he can look a growing evil in the eye, understand that no matter how evil, it's rooted in a core humanity, specifically in Shigaraki's case and NOT AFO's. You can look at evil and respond with Hate and try to destroy it, but that'll just feed it or have it growing within you. On the other hand, you can stand in its way and choose to be good, no matter what happens. It might roll over you, but at least you wont contribute to it. You'll slow it down however much you could tolerate, and the next good person will do the same. Enough people dedicated to this ideal might be able to stand against a tide of evil, no matter how big. That's the story.

Yes I agree it’s so frustrating seeing them get mad at the heroes but they don’t care they want the heroes to save them like yes that’s their job but they rely on them for everything that’s literally why when Shigaraki was in the streets homeless nobody wanted to help him bc they all thought “a hero is going to help him.”

Sad we didn’t get to a reaction to Kamui’s leaf-fro. I don’t know if this was the first time it was seen in the show or not but I thought it was interesting because for the longest time I thought Kamui could look human and then turn wooden like Redrush and his knockoff in Class B could change their form and body make up.

Mainly cause in this arc he stopped smiling, was ruining his health trying to save people (no sleep, no food, NO SHOWERS; Boi was stinky), and the author drew him like a rageddy dark blob in each panel. Boi looked like a villain, everyone thought so. I'm actually surprised at how colorful he looks in the anime. All I remember is a dark scratchy looking monster. Legit had close ups that made him look scary. Hence, dark deku arc. Also, he became even more epic in this arc.
