Around 8:40 I am pretty sure the reason he asked him to keep his grandfather being American to himself is because he will get treated like an outsider by both the Chinese and the Americans, the Chinese will be put off since he is part American, since they are being treated like shit by them, and the Americans will just use that to make fun of him, "oh you think just because your grand pappy was American and you can speak some English("American" lol) means anything, *insert racist dialogue*" pretty much what he can expect from that leaking out. Around 12:00 I am wondering if his American grandfather had a big influence on him, since Asian cultures are BIG on customs like respecting your elders, etc. Especially back then, so it would have been obvious for him to bow/show respect to the old Boss for "helping him." I could be overthinking it, but they mentioned American granddad right before that scene, so it must be connected. Damn... why does it feel like his sister is tryna start shit and cause gang wars... Since she is sleeping with that other gang's leader, I am guessing she wants to take over, even if she had to kill that old dude, since she said this is exactly where she belongs, and I am sure she has bigger dreams than just being the old dude's "girl"... Wellp okay the ending confirmed that, haha. Damn family drama always such a headache, lol.

I’m sure someone has already commented this but the guy Ah Sahm fights before seeing his sister is the guy who played sub zero in the last Mortal Kombat movie. And if you guys end up liking this one you should check out Banshee. It’s made by the same team and has some of the same actors. Both shows are good for a brutal fight and a smokeshow girl every episode haha.

I watched the first episode of this back when it came out but I ain't have Showtime/Cinemax so I couldn't watch the rest lol Glad it's on HBO and that y'all are reacting to it now. I'm a huge Bruce Lee fan, I actually found out about this series listening to Shannon Lee's podcast. Bruce went through so much to be able to get his movies made, had ideas stolen, watched as parts he should've gotten went to some white guy, had shows canceled etc., so it's super dope to see this show heading into a third season.
