While the cinematography/visuals of this movie was great it turned out falling flat for me. The constant use of the symbolism/allegory disrupted the narrative, and I just couldn't enjoy it to the fullest. I don't think the movie was bad at all, just didn't fully engross me. 7/10

and no the opps weren't normal villagers. Armor like that was expensive especially iron/steel helmets. It reminds me of that game Ryse: Son of Rome where the barbarians used wooden clubs and destroyed Rome. If they were naked like that they would have gotten owned by the Romans. Bit sad that's the most well known depiction, when the mythological version is so much cooler and more interesting. At least their design is somewhat consistent with the Draugr seen in the Bloodmoon DLC for Morrowind.
