"Hiitagi End" is a stupid meta joke. In the original novel, Senjougahara is on the cover, the title is Koimonogatari (Love Story), the story is "Hiitagi End", and the official summary was something to the effect of "As the day of reckoning draws near, Hiitagi must make the darkest decision in order to save Araragi's life". So before the book comes out, everyone is meant to assume it'll be a dramatic story about Senjougahara going up against Nadeko and making some kind of big sacrifice. ...then you get a funny surprise when you open the book and it starts with Kaiki claiming that he's about to narrate Senjougahara and Araragi's love story. Then you find out even that's a half-truth.
