Also, I know the themes of the story aren’t y’all’s biggest priority but I think this show did those phenomenally. It doesn’t seem like but it discusses a lot of ideas like identity, moral decay, the importance of sentimentality, the toxicity of god complexes , finite human life in contrast to the infinite laws of the universe. It’s a very well done show in that regard and warrants a lot of analysis beyond the surface

I highly agree on watching the movie before Steins Gate 0! It gives you a whole lot more context and it's really a good dive into the characters' motivations to prepare you for 0.

Please watch steins gate 0, it's better than season 1 imo. It starts from a different route though, so there's a separate episode in-between that explains it. Highly recommend!

The pacing is fine. It only seems slow because you don't know that everything that happens has importance. Everything just seems like random events until the second half.

You guys have so much to watch and get through, so understandable, but definitely consider finishing things up with steins;gate 0 whilst this is fresh on your minds. The story doesn’t quite end here(said very vaguely without spoilers), from ep 23b, or at least the best of it doesn’t. Definitely gets wilder with no delay.

Fall animes taking over soon. So they not gonna be watching to many older shows now like Steins Gate 0. That can be saved for way later. Just sticking with what's on going or shows that have recently returned for the new season is best to avoid hard spoilers for shows they want to enjoy soon.

As much as I love S;G 0 for that ONE SCENE at the end, which is arguably one of the best endings in any anime, S;G itself is honestly just a perfect contained story, so am also on board with this... But would love to see S;G 0 anyway lol
