My current theory is that Vanitas means "vengeance against Luna" like taking revenge for "making" him decide to become a member of the Blue Moon clan? Because when Luna first asked Vanitas said no - he wanted to remain and die as a human - but it seems like that was the only way he managed to stop Luna (and possibly save Mikhail) once Luna's name was corrupted. So revenge against making him care enough + put in a scenario where he basically gave up his humanity... idk if that makes sense 😅

I think vanitas is only pissed at Luna for being corrupted and leaving him but we still don’t know who was strong enough to even corrupt luna shiii we don’t even know how the Queen got corrupted either 2 of the strongest individuals we know currently besides the shapeless one but back to vanitas I think he is only pissed because he’ll turn into a curse bearer vampire which goes back to Luna telling them they he/she can save them but they would be part of her/his clan to extend their time to live but luna didn’t want to do it because of drawbacks it seems like

The anime left out quite a bit in order to fit into 24 episodes without loose ends so I recommend reading the manga if you're interested! There's 8 out in english and volume 10 released in Japan not too long ago. As of right now the manga is on hiatus so MochiJun can take a breather. Her previous work Pandora Hearts is also very character and mystery driven, and has an anime on crunchyroll as well! Love your guys' reactions as always🤗🤗

Yes! This also what I think! That’s why Vanitas thought Mikhail was dead. Luna tried to kill him (probably why he has no memories, pretty traumatizing to see your father try to kill you when you love him so much), and to put an end to them, Vanitas had to become part of his clan to use the book. We know Vanitas does not hate Luna because of what he said in the cabin and also how he listen to their wishes concerning his memories. So he says vengeance, but not out of hate, out of love. I suspect he wants vampires of the red moon to forget about the blue moon clan so that people stop trying to use the books and Luna’s name like a bad person, since clearly it’s not Luna cursing the vampires.

I don’t think the Shapeless One is the cat, but I do think he can spy on them through the cat. They do have the same eyes… Also… could he be half blue moon clan? He does have a similar blue eye… so much mystery!

I’m glad you reacted to this, it’s such a w anime and I’m sad it’s over but the manga is pretty much up to date with the anime though they left a lot out to fit 24 episodes so if you’re interested you can read it!!

I recommend checking out Ancient Magus Bride, it's a mix of romance and mystery. (atleast in my view) The story, the animation, the setting, the colors, I just love everything about that show. And it's not too long either, 23 or 24 episodes on season 1 and the manga still ongoing!

Unfortunately, we are caught up to the manga now (save 2 or 3 chapters). I mentioned it some episodes ago, but if you like this, you'll love Jun's other work Pandora Hearts. Just don't watch the anime because it has an original ending. The manga is AMAZING though.

Am i the only one who caught the fact that the teacher has the same eye colors as murr (the cat that noe has) and he said to vanitas that this is the first time he saw him in that form so either vanitas knew him before he became that form or he was transformed as noe's cat. Just an assumption tho

Lmao, knew it. The fucking cat was Noe's Sensei/teacher. It is interesting that they focused on his blue eye when he was leaving, he probably acquired some of the Blue-eyed Vampire's power. That probably led to his nickname of "Shapeless One" since Vanitas' Book can interfere with the World's formulas so easily, but they can't overuse it since they slowly lose their humanity and become monsters, but a Vampire using Blue-eyed Vampire powers might have less drawbacks. 22:25 Fricken gasket, LMAO.

Yeah since Luna & Faustina are the head honchos of the 2 different moons, and they seem to have similar-ish traits, I assume they were spawned at the same time, and would be siblings of sort. My assumption is that the Shapeless One acts as a bit of an intermediary between them, hence his 50/50 eyes

Show was better than I originally expected from season 1. I understand that for season 3 to come out will mean huge long years we are talking 5+ years at least. So live and forget, be surprised in future situation for Vanitas anime.
