Like you guys said most of these situations could be avoided if they just communicate early on but it's hard for people to communicate when they make assumptions that prevents them from doing that. Nodoka assumed that her mom wanted her to be like Mai so she in turn tried to emulate Mai but the mom got caught up on her beef with Mai's mom and unknowingly pushed that expectation onto Nodoka. Deep down she just wants Nodoka to be happy but because she assumed Nodoka wanted to be like Mai she started to micromanage her trying to make sure she got to that point.

The sound when Mai and Nodoka switch back makes it seem painful as hell and I hate it. Like setting a dislocated shoulder back into the socket, but it's their whole bodies. Looking forward to the next arc, and I hope they do the movie right after since it's basically a direct continuation of the show.

lol I mean it's not like she moving with her sister forever it's just for a while. Yeah sheera had so many things wrong this Ep It’s not a case of “hey nodoka if you try harder you can be just as good” because she objectively can’t, Mai is gifted at everything and barely has to try compared to nodoka (not saying Mai doesn’t put in effort) it’s literally a case of “you’re not as good as someone and you never will be, now live with it”. And Sakuta’s dad didn’t abandon him, his mom was hospitalised in another city and he went with her because in Japan it’s not uncommon kids to move out in highschool

Yeah sheera observation was really not it this time around. When they switched bodies its not her achieving all her goals its Mai. Mai after a month of training surpassed her sister in being an idol and making her mother smile. Enforcing the negative feelings of inferiority. Trying to say that Mai's sister just needs to figure it out like Mai or try just as hard is what makes people give up on their dreams. Simply because objectively Mai is just better then her even as her self why would she want to live if she has no value in her own life when her sister can do it better.

Yeah that kinda ticked me off a little. If she was paying attention properly, she would know it wasn't abandonment. His mom lost her mind... she became mentally unstable. And the dad obviously wanted to take care of her. He had enough trust in his capable son to take care of Kaede in the meantime.

Can't really blame Nodoka for feeling the way she was feeling after the concert. I mean, tbh that's rubbing salt in the wound. Already feeling hella inadequate because family drama, and then watch your sibling perform better in your body than you do.... bag the lead vocals, get mom's approval, in your body, but you're the one watching it unfold and not experiencing any of it. Essentially cucked.... by someone else in your own body. ANYONE would feel like utter shit in that situation. And like Roshi said, she didn't feel like she really earned it. She's been working hard at it, and wanted to earn that spot, and earn her mom's smile herself. And her "perfect" sister ended up doing that for her. Oof. :/ On top of that, she's younger than Mai. So she's clearly not as mature. She's acting her age, which is a good thing. No need to get on her case for acting how a girl her age would normally act in this crazy situation lol.

It's kinda wild they're too busy getting angry at a girl for acting her age instead of getting caught up in the feels. Every single other reactor I've seen actually understood the emotions and got caught in the sisterly feels, instead of being excessively angry at Nodoka for no reason.
