I don't think it's "prudish" to not want tits and ass shoved in your face every 20 seconds when you're just trying to watch anime. If I wanted ecchi I'd watch some trashy ecchi harem show. It's the same reason Fairy Tail and Fire Force get so much flak. Keep it out of the series if it doesn't serve a purpose, and if you're going to include it, at least TRY and make it tasteful. Yeah, totally. The show is pretty good about keeping the fanservice "relevant" to the cosplay for the most part. But an entire EPISODE devoted to Marin's boob physics, her cameltoe, and even pandering to foot fetishes? That's a bit too much. The only other bit of fanservice that's bothered me is when they went to the cosplay meetup and they were relaxing on the stairs and there was just a random shot of Marin's cleavage and all the boob sweat she'd accumulated.

Here’s the thing with the fan service in this episode. Marin knows she’s hot and doesn’t mind showing out. Everything you saw was because she didn’t mind you seeing it. Notice when she measured the nips they didn’t show anything, despite that being a prime opportunity to show off more tiddy animations. That’s because she was turned around as to not let Gojo see. We only get to see what Gojo sees. And because he’s a hormonal teen who’s never had someone in his room before, let alone a hot classmate, of course the horniness gets turned up to 11. This is the good kind of fan service IMO, where the girl has say over who sees what, when. No accidental boob grabs or dumb shit like that.

As someone who’s read the manga I’ll say that Marin herself is the one who initiates almost all of the fan service in the show which is good, but in reality these first two episode are just to lure the Degens in so their souls can be cleansed by how pure and wholesome the rest of the series is. The ecchi scenes rapidly slow down from this point on and my interpretation is that as gojo starts to become friendlier and closer to marin he becomes accustomed to seeing a attractive girl and stop viewing her in a sexual way. You’ve still got plenty more shit to see this season so don’t worry. Ara ara

I do not watch a lot of anime, just the masterpieces like AOT/DS/HXH/Steins;Gate/Parasyte/Re:Zero etc. However sometimes I do watch a first two episodes with Roshi crew, and I have to say there’s a lot of sick Japanese authors and animators. NGNL, Mushoku and now this. They’re always perving on underage girls. I can’t even blame the studios, because this show is super popular so there’s a lot of sickos in the anime community that love underage girls being put in sexual positions and situations.

I personally think most fanservice shows could probably be improved by toning it down a tad but I've just conditioned myself to ignore/shrug it off cause it isn't going anywhere. One of the first anime I watched was rosario vampire and there's stuff out there likje High School of the Dead. Besides the physics this show aint that bad with fan service. With that said I love when Shows like Demon Slayer and AOT show the industry that you don't need any fan service to make your anime/ manga BIG TIME

the fanservice in this show didn't bother me much at first cause it was mostly kinda relevant to the characters. like it was almost always focused on what the main guy was seeing, if you were a highschool boy and a hot girl came into your room then you were gonna occasionally even accidentally focus on their boobs when they're just like, right there. so it felt like we were getting kinda a glimpse into what the main character was thinking. But theres some stuff that happens a bit later into the show that can't really be covered by that and i would really rather they left out.

At least for us in America Age of consent is like 16-18 depending on the state and in Japan its like 12 or 13. So Idk i feel we approach anime like this and be like wow they are under age.
