I'm so excited for season 3! They announced it this morning! The Swordsmith Village Arc is my second favorite arc after the Entertainment District/ Red Light District Arc! It's going to be so good animated! Also, what Nezuko did at the beginning with her Blood Demon Art was completely anime original. That was not in the manga. I loved it!

I dont know if they ever really explained it, but looking at every scene she uses it, you can tell what Nezuko's Blood Demon Art is. It basically only burns demons and their Blood Demon Arts. She can't really heal anyone with it, but just cancel out stuff like Gyuutaro's poison or Enmu's dreams

I think the time where Ume and Gyutaro are in the darkness and there's light on the other side was supposed to portray that during their lives as humans, Gyutaro dirtied his soul for the sake of him and his sister. He killed and maimed and sinned, while Ume never really did anything wrong before demonhood. Ume was meant to go to heaven but followed her brother into hell instead, but Gyutaro could not have gone to heaven since he didn't have the same freedom.

well im reading the manga, im up to zenitsus "conflict" in a certain place and no fight has stood out to me more than this so far. but the fight im on rn might but i woundlt say it gets better from here. id say it has a plateau then ramps up judging from the fight im currently on. but maybe im wrong, i had to suffer through black and white for 40 chapters because only 140 and beyond are colored, its bad enough manga has no music, va's, sound effects, i wouldnt say it has no tension but the tension from the anime is 5x better. but im actually enjoying it now slightly because i dont have to wrap my eyes around what im looking at because its all the same color.

Yeah , I know theres other hashira stronger then Uzui but i feel like Uzui was the ideal match for Gyutaro because of each of them having dual weapons. A hashira with just a sword would probably have a bit of trouble with that.

I think the reason Nezuko was able to get rid of the poison was because her flames have similar properties to Hinokami Kagura, which seemed to either nullify demonic power or harness the sun's power itself. So I think it's basically Hamon from Jojo

Next one is swordsmith village arc which wasn’t too crazy then the Hashira Training arc is next and that’s where we’ll get a deeper intro to the rest of the Hashiras and and their techniques which is also calm. They’re both pretty short arcs. What I’m really looking forward to is what comes after, which is the Dimensional infinity fortress arc. From this point on there’s gonna be tears, sweat, screams and emotional damage 🙂

So, going off of that. Our trio of loveable morons, are indeed (at this point) Hashira level. Well......at least in power and ability. Remember, the requirements are: 1. Accumulate a demon kill count of at least 50 or 2. Slay a member of the 12 Kizuki. Unfortunately at the Kinoe rank. Which they aren't.....though, if they were to be sought after by a Hashira for the rank it could work in their favor.

However I can understand how the world wronged them, Different era, different problems, Makes me appreciate how blessed we are to live in an era where getting sick doesnt mean death (most of the time anyway). And sorry I feel bad requesting something after just finishing a season But can ya'll PLZ react to the Dragon Quest anime? Hands down one of the best Fantasy animes I've watched this season aside from Ranking of Kings. The story, humor, drama, action, and suspense are top notch. Makes ya feel like you're on an adventure yourself. Would be a perfect shonen anime to follow up after Demon Slayer

So the reason that Gyutaro couldn't walk backwards towards the light was he was accepting what he had done. He choose to be a demon while Ume was forced to become Daki. It's an amazing show, it only gets better from here and I saw a quote from some where that said "Demon Slayers are made when Demons hurt humans and Demons are made when Humans hurt Humans" a very accurate and repeating concept in the series.

Inosuke has been pretty much idolizing Tengen this entire season (in his own way), trying to emulate him here and there. Earlier Tengen was like, "Nah, you're wrong! This poison isn't affecting me at all!" with a big smile on his face. Inosuke definitely was calling back to the tough talk there, doing pretty much the same thing (minus the smile, because boar head, and blood gushing from mouth).

Tbh I can't believe people cried or teared up at the flashback eventough it was the first demon flashback that I could take seriously it was really interesting and sweet, it straight up gave really good closure to the villain. The other demon flashbacks were more of a meme and so artifically forced to be "sad" but I can already see how the writing is improving a lot and oh boy the animation went even craziert this season aswell. Fun Fact: It was explained in a Data book that one of the reasons why Daki gouged the samurai’s eye was that he insulted Gyutaro. Also, it was obvious the Samurai was a customer trying to sleep with her (her clothes were ragged, there was a bed on the ground, the Samurai was in the room with just her, and the lady had said she would find another pretty girl and send her to the Samurai.) Likely was her first client (Said it was her 13th Birthday)

it adds nothing to the story when they shove the flashback in after they are beheaded…we as an audience got the payoff we wanted…the show gave us plenty of context clues and using the demons personalities you can make your own assumptions of what they were like which is nice…when they throw in the OD music and flashback right after we already beat them it adds nothing because we know we will never see or care about them again IMO

How I interpret them going down to hell is that Gyutaro's only option is going down to hell which is hinted at by his speech and the fact that he was still in his demon form, but Daki was in her human form so she had the option to go the other side which is why Gyutaro was trying to get her to leave him alone but she decided to go with him wherever he was going.

I guess I'm one of the very very few people who're actually not a fan of the animation last episode. It was too over the top and could almost not tell what was happening. I actually prefer the animation in season 1 than in season 2. Season 1 was more fluid and beautiful, while season 2 was fast and looked rough around the edges. The CGI were also very noticeable.

And nah that snake Hashira would have been clapped by Gyutaro if he was alone. He was just acting cool like he was all that but its been said in an interview with the author that an upper moon demon is around the strength of 3-4 hashira so there's no way that the snake hashira could have clapped Daki and Gyutaro alone. Honestly the only way they won against Gyutaro and Daki was because of some asspulls and Tanjiro powering up from his mark.

I dont wanna give much info because it'll be spoilers. But you'll understand later on why I said that snake hashira wouldn't have been able to one-on-one Gyutaro. None of them could have. You saw how Rengoku and Uzui got clapped by upper moons. Uzui couldn't have survived the arc without the help of Tanjiro and others. Even his wives help wouldnt have been enough.

Stop reading if you don't want to be spoiled....................................The snake Hashira would’ve definitely handled the Upper moon 5 siblings by himself. You must not know his feats so I I'll name a few. He can turn his blade red. The strongest color known to demon slayers for blade. He activated his demon slayer mark against Muzan. He has access to the transparent world. Same as upper moon 1(kokoshibo), Tanjiro, Gyomei (Strongest Hashira of his era ) and strongest Hashira ever Yoriichi Tsukigune. He managed hurt muzan and delay his instant heal during the last battle. Honestly his weakness was mainly due to his feeling towards the love hashira. That cost him his life in that arc.

@savage2fresh 60. Keep in mind that these demons are extremely old as well. Also strength varies A LOT even between Hashiras. The only requirements to becoming a hashira is by either defeating 50 demons or killing Upper/lower moon demon. Most demon slayers never make it that far lol

I know im late lol but your missing a thing or 2. Idk if the snake hashira could have 1v2 upper moon 6 but he is one of the strongest hashiras while uzui is one of the weakest. All the hasiras gyutaro and daki killed couldnt even figure out how to kill them hence why they were killed, uzui figured it out as soon as gyataro emerged out of daki. And i think you forgot that every hashira in the modern day had never encounted an upper moon, rengoku was the first so all these statements about a upper moon being as strong as 3 or 4 hashiras put togethor is not true anymore, It was stated in s1 that the hashira to date are the strongest group of hashiras ever. And i believe a couple of hashiras could have taken on gytaro by themselves and getting the win (wind pillar, rock pillar and water pillar)

but uzui stopped his training after retired while obanai keep training to achieve the demon slayer mark. If you put him on uzui place at that time when he not event know what is slayer mark i dont think he can solo gyutaro. Tbh i dont think any hashiras can solo any upper rank pre demon slayer mark

Nope These pillars are different. The snake hashira is top 4 and i would argue everyone rengoku's level and higher would beaten uppermoon 6 on their own.

I don’t get people that complain about the demon backstories in this show… they’re easily the most interesting part of this simple plot. Also, 99% of demons lose their humanity one they’re turned to demons and they only remember their past as humans in detail right when they’re about to die, so blaming them is kinda stupid too 🤷‍♀️
