I feel like Tanjiros taking on too much responsibility in this fight. He’s saying he wasn’t paying enough attention but him and Uzui are the only ones paying attention to EVERYTHING on the battlefield. And he keeps blaming himself for every bad situation that happens, like bro it’s not all your fault when something goes wrong. That’s just the nature of the fight. I think the trauma of having his family killed when he wasn’t around is adding extra stress to him and it’s starting to affect some of his critical thinking skills. Cuz now he’s thinking like he was before and is like I wasn’t around when they died because I was goofing off at this old dudes house so everything’s translates to “it’s my fault” in this fight. Just my opinion but it’s actually starting to weigh him down. I actually don’t remember feeling this way when I read the manga, it’s really cool to experience this from a different lens
