Not playing paper = he loses, but if she loses in the actual rock paper scissors it's her loss as well, thus a tie, therefore he can only tie (By winning the rock paper scissors) if he doesnt use paper, which is what he did, he played rock (his loss), but she lost because she played scissors (her loss), therefore a tie was the result

[Blank] cannot see or do magic as far as we know. They simply inferred that she was cheating because at the time, the girl had 5 cards representing the same number/suit. However, Shiro if you recall said she couldn't figure out HOW she was cheating despite observing from close up. Thus, the brother concluded at the time that if she wasn't cheating through normal means, she was cheating through magical ones since this is an isekai.

NGNL frankly hasn't aged well. The incest fan service is pretty dang cringe and the writing is lacking tbh. But the worst part is that the show peaks at episode 6(which is one of my all time favorite episodes of any anime) and everything after is drastically worse.

This show is fun, it's cool, the concept of a game world is interesting and the art style is amazing. That being said, 90% of the hype around it is due to the fact that there was no season 2 because of copyright claims towards the author so it went from being a pretty entertaining show to fucking legendary (in terms of hype).

Because its meant to fck her up. Rock paper siscors becomes a mind game after the first one. You always go atleast best of 3. Irl First one is a guess, the others become mind game. (I once went 10 ties in a row with a friend, because of how easy it is to confuse your friend and yourself with one look) He just skipped straight to it, she got flustered into thinking that he could only win 1 out of 9 scenarios when in reality it didnt even change because The tie and lost condition was the same

Sora knew she was cheating because she had several identical cards in her hands. Since shiro couldnt figure out how?, sora left it a mystery When steph mentioned magic he connected the dots. Why the epic music? Because the grandfather( king) said that only fighting chance for humans is a massive gambler, the best even. She just realised that they werent gambling willy nilly. From the point sora engage in a game, the wager, the conditions, all the way down to his words during the game is all meant to win. She is really dumb, but even the most stupid guy will know where they got played at the end(aka rock paper scissors)

To your question about the magic, the problem was that she had two nines of diamonds in her hand I believe. That or they saw a card change number/suit, something like that. They couldn't tell what she did though, and when they looked around they caught the elf in the corner. They realized at that point, this world must have magic.

When I first saw this I clearly saw that he was typing in his phone, not beating off. Now I still see it, but I guess I do recognize that it looks like it, but you can see the way he types on 15:29 and in the previous episodes. Plus he keeps saying that he can't see his sister sexually at all, she is just the most important person in his life and the only person that accepts him. I just want to defend him because I had that mental illness he had (when he is separated from Shiro) when I was that age and it was tough and I'm always so happy he found someone that can help him through that. It took me a long time for me to have that person in my life. The fanservice of Shiro is gross and unnecessary, just remember that Sora isn't apart of that sexual little sister fandom.

in the first episode when the characters were introduced it said that shiro and sora are anthropophobic, they are afraid of people except for each other it seems. thats why they are obsessed with games and so good at it. they never go out and interact with people but spend all their time together just playing games. thats why they are so "odd"

That's what a lot of this show is all about, the mind game. The reason that teh sibs work as a pair is because theyre each specialized in their talents. Sora is all about reading people, and either guessing what they're going to do or tricking them into doing what he wants, but doesnt have the raw knowledge for a lot of things. Shiro is a straight genius, but inst great at the mind games aspect of things. That's why they mentioned how she could bneat a computer 20 times in a row, because a computer is going to try and make the mathematically best move every time... but almost fell for Tet's trap in chess because he made an intentionally bad play to try and throw her off and make a bad move. The reason they always play games as a pair is because they shore up each others weaknesses.

Ikr, idk why people think it was recommended because of that aspect. I watched this show, as many fans have, many years back. Probably back in 2014 or something, and this was the hypest shit ever. I certaintly don't remember liking it because of the fanservice. Thats what I remember High School DxD and High School of the Dead for. Not this, I would categorize this show in the same "type" as deathnote and code geass. The theme and tone of the shows are certaintly different. But it has that same concept of the MCs playing 4d chess in order to win conflicts.

Let's clarify a couple of things. First, it seems like a lot of the people who are "dissing" the show are people who have never watched it and may therefore not be familiar with how anime was back then when it was newly out. After all, this show is super old, almost a decade. Many of the fans of this show watched it when they were teens, perhaps between the ages of 12-15. The fanservice of Shiro therefore went way past their heads, and thought nothing of it. The fans of the show therefore remebers this show because of its actual plot, not because of the "plot". Secondly, the newer people who have never seen this show think that it was recommended and liked by so many because of the fanservice, as many of them are probably a bit older than 15, i mean, you are a patreon, and most likely not using your moms card to pay for this. At least most of you. It therefore becomes a huge problem and takes major attention away from the actual plot. In conclusion, the people who likes the show like it because it was actually good, while the people who don't are people who have never seen this show, are probably older than 15 or so and therefore find the fanservice weird, they cannot see past it and miss the actual plot. Basically, NO ONE HERE ACTUALLY SUPPORTS PEDOPHELIA GOD DAMMIT! The old fans want the reaction to continue because they really enjoyed the plot and don't want it to stop because newer people think the fanservice is sus, which was not such a big deal when the older fans first watched this show, (as in they were probably 12-15 years old).

@smallZ BIGz for me it's one of the best Isekai's out there S1 was a 10/10. Rudy isn't someone your supposed to like the things he does can be offputting but I'm there for the story, worldbuilding, and other characters which are really well done.

So the rock-paper-scissor game in the beginning, the rules are if Sora plays anything other than paper he gets a loss and then there is a further process where we check what Steph plays. If sora plays scissor and steph plays paper, then sora gets a loss from playing scissor and a win for beating paper, resulting in a tie.
