I have been waiting for so long. Even after hundreds of anime watched, this series stand in my top 2 ever since I started it.

I definitely hope that you guys watch the movie after this. The show's an enjoyable watch on its own, but it's far from perfect and has some serious issues. The movie does so many unique things though and actually holds up really well, even as a complete standalone without the rest of the series. For me No Game No Life is just a fun somewhat silly show with a few hype moments, while NGNL: Zero is actually telling a really cool story.

Please consider reacting to Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, it's hilarious and heartwarming. I know you'd love it, and there are two seasons. It's a Kyoani Studio anime and they were victim to a horrible arson attack which killed a bunch of animators and it's the show they did after reopening. It's amazing.

Just because a character is chesty doesn’t mean they’re sexualized (though in anime that is usually the case). To use the Nezuko example, she literally aged up, and yeah her design shows off her figure but the direction of the show itself doesn’t go OUT OF ITS WAY to show this stuff to the audience; that’s the big distinction. It’s pretty disingenuous to say Nezuko physically growing to the point of having visible cleavage is on the same level as NGNL introducing an 11 year old with a panty shot “just for you the audience 😉” 🤢

I get your point and don’t want to poke holes in specific examples cuz we’d be here all day, but real quick to go back to Daki, though, sexuality is definitely a huge part of her character. The difference is she’s drawn as a grown woman who has ran things for decades, and most of the time acts as such. It just goes to show how complicated an issue sexuality is; everyone has different gut reactions as well as different rationalizations. However, this is very much an ecchi series, I don't think there is really an argument based on when fanservice is needed or not. Maybe, it's hard to say, but I think it's still quite core to the aesthetic choices of NGNL. At least in my eyes as someone who does enjoy ecchi (titillating more than comedic, but still like both) it would suffer from it's removal. NGNL might just be unique in that it's premise is already very good and wouldn't necessitate the ecchi aesthetic choice. I still don't know that means it shouldn't be the way it is, but I that could be my bias since personally I'd like to see more anime go this route.
