The thing with Japanese jokes is that they tend to joke about how certain words sound similar in Japanese but when it's translated in English the joke gets lost in translation.

The subs I saw made it easier to understand the joke..... actually, these subs literally tell you in parentheses what the two words in Japanese are when they're doing a play on words. Unless you're watching a different version than what you're showing us that's not showing you that. Then oof lol. That said, Komi putting in the effort to make jokes is adorable af.

they almost always watch a different version then what they show us. Kind of annoying honestly, sometimes what they commentate on doesn't correlate with the translation we are reading.
