In Japan, they use X and O for like "agree" and "disagree" (or correct/incorrect, approve/disapprove, ect) more often than we do in the west (that's why they swapped the functionality of most PS2 controller in US games, since they figured people in the west would see the X as the confirmation button instead of O). The joke is that Minori is starting to make an O with her arms, then suddenly switches to X to answer his question.
